If you put this product on correctly, you will have no problem at all. I used it today, in fact, following self-tanner directions to the T, and I have a beautiful tan. It's a little light for me (I am fair skinned), so I will repeat the process tomorrow. And, it doesn't have a harsh smell as other self-tanners do. I can actually leave the house without taking another shower. VS Most Liked Negative Review It gave me an allergic reaction. I really liked this product for the first couple of weeks that I was able to use it. After this trial period, I had a terrible allergic reaction (had to get a systemic corticosteroid injection and Rx medication to treat the unbearable itching/hives). I've never had a problem using other Neutrogena products, but am sad that this just wasn't meant for me. I would recommend it to those who don't have sensitive skin allergies. Comments about Neutrogena Build-a-Tan, 6.7 fl oz: I love this product. Compared to other self tanning lotions I've used, the scent is wonderful. I have very fair skin and this product does not make you look orange or unnatural. It is gradual enough so that you could use it daily for a natural looking tan. Best Uses Comments about Neutrogena Build-a-Tan, 6.7 fl oz: I bought this in the hopes that I had finally found something that I could use that would work as far as self tanners are concerned. But honestly, it's like all the others I've tried. I now have places on my arms and neck that are really orange and some blotches here and there. Combine that w/the overpowering smell of a self tanner and I said, ok, enough is enough. I just purchased a tanning package at a local tanning place. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review 9/19/2012 The only self-tanner I buy... Pros

Comments about Neutrogena Build-a-Tan, 6.7 fl oz: This is the only self-tanner I buy. Have tried most of the other readily available brands as well as some I've ordered online and this one works the best with the least side-effects, such as streaking or ankle/knee/elbow build up. Just use a gentle exfoliating scrubber (or even a wash cloth will do) when I start to notice areas getting darker than others. Cons Best Uses Comments about Neutrogena Build-a-Tan, 6.7 fl oz: I have tried several tanning lotions, tanning cloths. Lost count. I found it easy to apply, not streaky, consistent color, long lasting. For me, it was similar to a spray tan without the expense, driving, parking, etc. Saved me time and money. Neutrogena really let me down on this product. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Cons Best Uses Comments about Neutrogena Build-a-Tan, 6.7 fl oz: This product is ok. It does give a nice tan coloring, but tends to leave orange colored spots. I mix the product with lotion which makes it apply more smoothly and evenly after exfoliating. I find that surprisingly it works best on my legs, unlike most other products that I've used in the past. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful?
