Bought this based on all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, this did not work well with my skin. I have oily, acne-prone skin, and I wondered if this would minimize or keep my skin calm from acne. I think this product actually enhanced the skin problems, not that there was an issue, but I tried using this as a spot treatment on one pimple. It didn't do much. Doesn't work for blackheads either. It dried out my skin around my mouth and nose. But I like the cooling sensation and the way it made my skin feel clean. Overall, I won't purchase again.

I really love this product, if solely for the fact that it's a daily cleanser and an exfoliating mask in one. While it isn't as effective against severe acne as I would have liked, you definitely get the tingling deep clean every time, and it leaves your skin feeling refreshed and very clean.

Great alternative to pro@ctiv. Goes on smooth, smells great and has a nice tingly feeling. I alternate this with the scrub version and it keeps breakouts under control. Keep in on for several minutes in the shower. The key ingredient is the benzoil peroxide, which can be drying for some people but is the best for acne. I love the sweet-mint smell. Yes it will bleach your towels, so use white. It's the benzoil peroxide that does it. This is a staple for me!

I've struggled with acne since my teens (now mid-40's) … this was the first product I found that consistently controls my acne. I very seldom have a single pimple now, and when I do, it is very minor and unnoticeable. I really feel the key is Benzoyl Peroxide, and this is one of the very few products that has it. I see that others complain about it bleaching out their towels, but I have never had that happen, and I've been using it for about 5 years now. I've never experienced any type of burning sensation when using this, either. Awesome product!

I've always struggled with blackheads and annoying visible pores. I have combination skin, with my cheeks tending to dry out while my chin and nose are oily. Within 2 days of using this product along with the pore refining toner and healthy face lotion. Using the cleanser once a day seems to be enough to balance my skin out. It's easy to use and wash off unlike some products directed at blackheads that are sticky of have beads. I haven't tried using it as a mask yet but i'm glad the option is there. I'm thrilled with the texture of my skin and am excited to see it continue to improve.

I just used this product for the first time, and I'm already happy with it! Almost all of my blackheads are gone after using it for a mask (left it on for about 10-15 minutes). It is a bit harsh, so it probably isn't good for sensitive skin, but I loved the feeling of it. It had a nice cooling feeling, and it dried without drying my skin. Based on a couple other reviews, I'm going to try this as a spot treatment for overnight.

I did find this product effective as an overnight mask. Do not combine with other products during use since that will cause dryness.

2 minutes is all I could tolerate. If you have sensative skin- TEST it first to see if you can tolerate! My face is still swollen, hot and red 1 hr after I tried to use as a clenser- not a mask. Thank goodness I did not keep it on longer than 2 min! I never felt the BURN UNTIL IT WAS RINSED OFF- BE CAREFUL!!

I like Neutrogena products but this one made me break out.it made my blackheads worse...i got a white non-filled bump-like rash all over my chin and cheeks.so disappointed.

This is my favorite cleanser that i use. (i have multiple routines through out the day.) I rarely use this as just a quick cleanser or even as a mask. if i have bad acne and many pimples i will use it as an all over mask for about 30 minutes. for the everyday whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples i will use this as a spot treatment. It is an extremely amazing spot treatments so when i leave it on over night, in the morning the pimple or problem area is greatly minimized or gone! It is a magic product... I LOVE IT!
