I love this product, except for the fact that the smell is quite strong. If i get high on my cheek bones, it tends to burn my eyes. Other than that, this product is great.

I use this nightly and would suggest it to anyone, mind you that it doesn't smell like roses (but what facial cleanser smells good) work well to balance skin and leaves you feeling pretty :)

This product contains 45% alcohol - and that's way too high for me. Maybe if I were 16 with acne-prone skin and a very, very oily complexion, this astringent would be appropriate, but I'm 50+ with somewhat sensitive skin and this product was just way toooooo harsh for me. After using it for a few days, my face developed horrible dry patches and just an over-kill attitude.

Neutrogena makes several toners that IMHO are much better. [see Neutrogena pore refining toner and/or alcohol free toner]. The word "astringent" in the name of this product says it all. If you have combination and/or sensitive skin, I would NOT recommend this product. Stay away from anything that has THIS much alcohol in it.

This is one of the only products that works for my adult acne. I use it twice a day (once after I shower in the morning, and the other after I wash my face before going to bed). When you combine this product with the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash, it really controls acne. Yes, I still get the occasional pimple, but I don't get the big breakouts like I used to get before using this product. The smell is intense and mediciny, but it does go away after a few minutes. Neutrogena has been tweaking or discontinuing some of their acne products lately, and I genuinely hope they keep this product around.

I have had terrible acne in my adult life. This toner really works on keeping my skin clean. I use it twice a day and it makes my skin feel refreshed and clean. This is one product I don't skimp on. It's the ONLY toner I use.

I LOVE this product! Yes, it does have a strong smell and yes it does dry your skin but that's kind of the point. It's 2% salicylic acid so it's going to be slightly irritating. I wouldn't recommend it for people with really sensitive skin but for me it works great. I use it once a day before going to bed followed by moisturizer. I could see a difference within a week. All the blackheads on my nose have disappeared and the texture of my face is so much smoother. It definitely exfoliates so I don't need to use a scrub anymore. Clearly, from reading other reviews it doesn't work for everyone but I definitely think it's worth a go. Love it!

I got this product because I have combination oily skin and I was hoping that this would help control the oil. It didn't do much at all. Plus when I first used it the alcohol smell totally threw me off. I didn't want to continue but was stubborn and decided to stick with it anyways. Finally gave up after I went through 1/3 of the bottles. It dries my skin out, especially the area around my mouth and my mouth. It also leaves a burning feeling around my nose area. I still have like 2/3 of the bottle sitting on my table and I have no clue what to do with it. I switched to Alba hibiscus toner now and it's just so much better.
