My dermatologist recommended "The Neutrogena wash in the blue bottle." At first, I was skeptical of this product since I usually use much more intense facewash/exfoliators for my skin.
But this facewash is perfect. It's not harsh on my skin and doesn't dry it out at all. It removes any eyeliner I wear and it cleanses my skin really well. After using the facewash after a day all spent out, I can feel how clean my face is.
I've been using this product for a little over 3 weeks now and I have to say that my skin has become very soft and it has decreased the number of pimples I do get.
The only complaint I have about it is the smell; it smells slightly medicinal. But it gets the job done and the smell is covered up by whatever moisturizer I use.

This facewash is alright. I found it to smell and feel a lot like regular hand soap though. It also felt a little drying to my skin.

This will probably always be my favorite makeup remover/daily cleanser. I've had problems with my skin for many years now, and although I don't think this could completely cure acne/pimples/blackheads just on its own, its a great thing to add to your regimen, especially if you need to take off makeup, or just want a nice basic cleanser. I personally use this in the shower to remove my mineral makeup and mascara, and then occasionally in the mornings when I want to be gentle to my skin. It may dry your skin a bit, but I've noticed that if anything, its in a good way. It will dry any pimples I have yet won't leave me flaky, and definitely makes my skin more smooth and soft. The only thing I wish is that it was fragrance free, but hey, its good enough for me. I highly recommend this with neutrogena oil free combination skin moisturizer for a basic, and good regimen.

I've used this product for years. Every time I try to switch to something else, I always go back to Neutrogena Fresh Foaming cleanser. It's great to remove make up, but I don't normally wear much. What it does do well is cleanse the dirt/oil that builds up during the day - especially around my forehead. I just wish it came in a larger size - feels like I'm always having to replace it!

The main thing for cleansers are the effect of cleaning and burning of the eyes. This is a very good cleanser and it DOES NOT burn the eyes.

I have used this product for years, and been so happy with it that I haven't strayed. I like the scent, which is minimal and clean, but some may be bothered by it. I prefer it to the smell of other Neutrogena cleansers. Other gentle makeup removers make my skin feel greasy, but this cleans without being drying. I wear panstick foundation which can be difficult to remove, but I can get every trace off with this cleanser. For waterproof mascara I sometimes wash, rinse, and wash again, or use an eye makeup remover. The only problem I've had with this wash is that I've had it leak when tipped over in the shower, though the pump has changed over the years and that may not be as much of a problem now.

I use this mostly at night to remove my makeup and take the day off. It really is a wonderful product. Paula Begoun, by the way, gives it her highest rating. This is a high-quality cleanser that is dirt cheap (IMO). This is the first cleanser I've found that truly and completely removes every trace of my makeup.

I've used plenty of cleansers that did a good job of removing my mascara, etc, but I would still wake up with the tiniest smudges of mascara (non-waterproof) under my lower lash line in the A.M. even with the best of them. Not so with this cleanser!! Way to go, Neutrogena!

I do find this to be slightly drying (and I do mean just slightly), but this does not bother me at all, especially since I normally use a moisturizer both A.M. and P.M., and I would expect this from a cleanser that removes makeup so completely.

Removing all my makeup at the end of the day as well as "taking the day off" in general is a high priority for me at this point in my life. Please try this, you won't regret it! Why pay way too much for more expensive, trendy cleansers when you can get one this great for a fraction of the cost that works just as well as its pricey counterparts? :)

Prety much the best basic cleanser I've found. Takes waterproof makeup off, even lots of heavy stage makeup. Doesn't dry my skin terribly, but I do still need to use moisturizer afterwards.

The only con is it smells really bad, like 409 or something. But it's a small price to pay for a good product!
