I played very competitive sports which caused me to sweat alot and do the ole whipe the face on the tshirt thing...gross. Being that I was a teenager at the time living at home anything my mom used, I used as she had the same skin problems that I did. One day she brought home this product and I noticed it in the shower and thought well I don't have wrinkles but I do have blemishes so "hey I'll try it." Within one week my face made a complete 180. It was clearer, more even toned, and smoother. I will warn you that depending on your face type, it may sting a little and it may make your face initially dry or break out slightly...but the reason is that the alpha hydroxy etc. is sloughing off layers of skin and bringing to the surface all the problems you were having. My daily routine is using this face wash followed by the Neutrogena pore refining toner which amazingly does NOT sting or dry your face out...and then the anti wrinkle cream moisturizer. Every other day or so or if i wore an extra amount of makeup that night I start with an exfoliating scrub before the wash just to get off any extras. I was amazed because once I used my husband's brand because mine was out, and when I used the toner it didn't even look like I washed my face...ALL OF MY MAKEUP WAS STILL LEFT ON MY FACE! With this, clean as a whistle. I was actually told by an esthetician that I have amazing skin...and trust me...I have NEVER heard that before or would have even considered myself someone with mediocre skin. So to end all of my ramblings...YES this product is amazing...and YES to get the full effect you should pair it with other things that your skin needs (a good toner, moisturizer) and you will see dramatic differences. I have been using this product for years and don't know what i would do if they ever took it off the market. :( VS Most Liked Negative Review Major regret. I'm 25 and have dry but acne prone skin, and all this cleanser did was break me out and dry my skin out even more. I had gotten my acne under control with other products and it was clear before I used this, but I had wanted an anti-aging product also, so I thought I'd give this a try. It made my skin painfully dry and tight. (Doesn't dryness lead to wrinkles?) And my previously clear skin broke out horribly. This may be good for someone with oily or combo skin, but I would not recommend it for someone with dry or sensitive skin. Therefore, I've been washing my face with this product once a day for as long as I can remember. I have combination & sensitive skin & I've never had an issue with this product. I read them and use them as a guide to make my decision, but never take the time to write one. Until now. Also, I'm a brand buyer usually. I've used almost all department store brands before. This is my second attempt at trying to wrangle in my beauty budget and only splurge on certain items. This cleanser is amazing. In one week I noticed a significant change in the texture and appearance of my skin. I notice I was starting to get the parenthesis on my face, and now they're not noticeable whatsoever. Not only that, but my face appears radiant and glowing. Get this. Don't hesitate. I have combination skin and my breakouts have cleared up and I hardly get them now. I'm in my 30s and struggled with the occasional adult breakout. No more. Get the cream that goes along with this for best results. Highly recommended. I have dry skin, but a very oily T-zone. I have been fighting temple/chin/jawline/chest break-outs for over a year, without success. Then I started using Burt's Bees Acne scrub with salicylic acid. I saw an improvement in my skin, but wanted to take it a step further. So, I added this face wash with salicylic acid. When used together (one in the AM, one in the PM), my skin is finally clearing. No more painful, "ingrown" pimples. I still have a breakout here and there, but they heal much faster. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? I tried so many different cleansers and this was the one that helped balance my skin better. My skin is oily and I have the tendency to acne even though I'm not a teenager anymore. The products I used in the past if good for the acne were bad for the aging because they usually left my face too dry and I was developing premature wrinkles. Since I started using Anti-wrinkle Anti-blemish to clean my face and Anti-wrnkle Anti-blemish cream afterwards my face feels great, the wrinkles stopped appearing and my skin started feeling smooth and silky with no signs of acne and not oil on it.
