Usually use brush & shaving soap, so one can lasts a long time. Very good at preventing nicks & cuts and provides a very smooth and comfortable shave. Because of thickness can clog razor; to prevent, rinse well with hot water between strokes. Razor does clean easily w/ hot water. My dear wife bought this for me when I asked her to pick up some shaving gel. I was used to another cheap brand, but this is clearly superior and not much more expensive. It gives me a great shave and I think it extends the life of my Mach 3 Turbo refill by 2 or 3 shaves, which is a bonus.
