I'm 46 and I have deep forehead wrinkles & crows feet. In the last two years I've began breaking out with cystic acne on my chin & jawline due to trapped pores/whiteheads. I am not having a breakout since beginning the Neutrogena acne products containing 2% salicylic acid (Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Creamy Cleanser and Neutrogena Rapid Clear Fight & Fade Toner) so I just finished using my Neutrogena Microdermabrasion System and I am floored with the look & feel of my skin!!! It is very smooth (especially my PREVIOUS crows feet) and soft. My skin is not red and irritated but I applied 100% Pure Aloe Gel after the treatment as a precaution BECAUSE this IS a form of microdermabrasion. The battery cover was a little hard to open but it HAS to be in order to keep it waterproof. The clip-on pad adapter fit perfectly and securely onto the vibrating machine. The microdermabrasion pads stuck to the adapter great and did not come off at any time during use. I was concerned that I would not get enough sloughing action because the head vibrates instead of spinning but that was NOT the case at all. There was plenty of dermabrasion action. I have normal skin so I used the high massage setting without any problems. If this rattles your teeth turn the setting to low and BACK OFF ON THE PRESSURE YOU ARE APPLYING!!!!

This is a microdermabrasion system NOT daily cleansing so I washed my makeup off beforehand. I ran the tip of the machine (pad) under trickling hot water throughout cleansing to make sure I had plenty of foamy lather so that the pad glided smoothly over the surface of my face throughout the entire process - this is where a little "common sense" is needed!! About halfway through I coated my face with my Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Creamy Cleanser because (1)I am in LOVE with this cleanser and (2)it helps with my slight acne problem. I used small, GENTLE circular motions and lightly buffed my face for several minutes (2 minutes for each area - forehead, cheeks, chin and about a minute on my nose & over my lips). I rinsed my face in very cool and then cold water to remove the cleanser. I patted my face dry with a clean towel and slathered on 100% Pure Aloe Gel to combat any minor irritation that microdermabrasion commonly causes. What a difference this system has made!

I am astonished at the improvement in the texture of my skin. My crows feet are completely smoothed out and there is also an improvement in my deep forehead wrinkles. I don't know how long these results will last but with continued use I can not possibly go wrong after witnessing the results I've had with just one use. Everyone will have different opinions because some think it's too abrasive but this is MICRODERMABRASION!!!! Others have had breakouts which is why "I" used my anti-acne cleanser halfway through the treatment. I don't understand why a few have had a problem with the pad adapter staying on unless they received a defective one. Mine is very tight and secure. There was no problem with the microdermabrasion pad coming off prematurely because it took a good hard tug to remove it when the treatment was finished. I am on a fixed income so I intend to rinse off the adapter/microdermabrasion pad and pat it dry with a clean towel so that a single pad can be used several times along with my Neutrogena Creamy Cleanser. I will replace the pad if I notice that the dermabrasion has worn off of the pad but I'm cheap(: This is MY preference only and not recommended by Neutrogena.

Do not apply so much pressure that your skin ends up being red and sore afterwards. With ANY form of microdermabrasion your skin requires extra care & attention which is why I used soothing Aloe Gel. Also, I was a little rough in one spot on my face so I dabbed a bit of Triple Antibiotic Cream on it. Check out the You Tube reviews but do not take their advice literally. Use good judgement and common sense!

This treatment is recommended for use every 3 or more days depending on how your skin reacts to microdermabrasion and the amount of pressure YOU apply while using this machine. BE GENTLE! The WAVE pads (velcro) will work with this machine for GENTLE DAILY CLEANSING but be careful. Do not use additional SCRUBS or EXFOLIATION for 3+ days after this treatment. There is also a sponge adapter (sold separately) that can be used along with a gentle daily cleanser but a clean, hot washcloth and a gentle cleanser is all that is needed for daily cleansing and makeup removal between microdermabrasion treatments. USE FACE SUNSCREEN!!! You've just removed your top layer of skin so take care of the new skin that's just been revealed (:

Thought this might help exfoliate some stubborn dead skin flakes, especially around my nose, but it just made my face red and worse looking. Working in a hospital, with dry, recycled air that really dried the skin on my face out and made it flaky. This did not knock the flakes off, just made everything worse. Not sure what this is for, or what to do with it. Doesn't seem to be useful for much.

This is one of the best things I've ever done for my face. I'm 55 and my skin has never looked so good. Also got rid of the little blackheads near my eyes that I get from going to bed with my mascara on.

At first, I used it according to the directions, but I have a lot of bumpy acne/ hyper-pigmentation around the cheek area and when I use this product there it doesn't help acne heeling. It's a bit rough around the acne area, so I wouldn't recommend you to use it there. So now, I use it whenever I have a bit clearer skin. It's great for scars and areas with less acne! I can visually see how it tightens that area of skin ( for me, it's my forehead, t-zone, chin) and leaves it feeling new with just 2/3 uses.

I love this product as I think microdermabrasion is great for the skin. I feel that my skin is improving after 8 days. I use with the Boots 7 products and love the improvement!

Cannot be used everyday. It seems to dy skin if used too often. If you have oily skin daily use may be helpful

would love to have a little more explanation on the box on how to use, althought it is really self explanatory, there is really no recomenadtion on the motions to use around your face, So far i like it,my pores definetely look better, i have less breakouts and skin feels great. i only use it for 1 minute per area since my skin can be really sensitive, you can do it once or twice a week.
