I have wasted so much time and money on so many foot creams that just don't work, so my expectations weren't too high for this product. But this one actually DOES work! It is nothing short of amazing! You have to apply it consistently to see the best results- every night before bed is best for me- and after 1.5-2 weeks, my feet are baby soft and smooth, all ready for sandals. I have also used Neutrogena's Cracked Heel formula, and while it smells 100 times better than the original, I honestly find that both products yield the same results. The scent is not that bad- not pleasant at all, but it isn't very strong, in my opinion. It just takes some getting used to, that's all.

For reference, my feet get dry very easily, with rough patches and callouses, winter or summer. I have tried so many different things to heal my feet in the past- the metal scrapers, pumice stones, foot paddles, heavy creams w/ socks at night, dry oils, etc. Oh, and let's not forget the Ped-egg! I hate that contraption- do not waste your money on it! The only thing I accomplished with those products was making the callouses a little less noticeable, but they were still there, and they seemed to come back even worse than before. Now, I just use a gentle foot paddle on my feet once a week, if any rough patches have developed, and apply just a dab of Neutrogena foot cream to each foot. rubbing in well. For best results, I use every night, but I haven't used it at all this week and my feet are still soft! When I notice that my feet are getting a bit dry again, I go back to using the cream every day, or until I start slacking off again :) Its wonderful not to have to worry about what my feet look like before choosing my footwear for the day!

Downsides, as I mentioned before, are the unpleasant smell, as well as the small size of the tube. I do not understand why Neutrogena does not make this in a larger tube! Granted, a littl e dab is all you need, but using it every day, a tube only lasts about a month. My advice is to wait until there's a BOGO here on drugstore.com and stock up!
