This was going to replace the discontinued Neutrogena compact I liked so much. The colors are similar but the quality is worse. It wears off as you apply it - yes, applying the color removes the color! It is just too cheap to stick. Forget about building the color for a smokey eye. Not gonna happen.

I can't believe how wonderful this product is -- and especially for the price. It beats all the expensive department store eye shadows I've tried over the years. I am in my fifties, and have had trouble with shadow that's too pearlized, which emphasizes wrinkles. This one doesn't -- and it actually appears to improve the texture of the lids. It's got a hint of frost, but not too much. Not sure if it's the "nourishing" aspect of the product, but whatever it is, I will stop searching for the ideal shadow for me. This is it.

Great colors, easy to wear. does not settle in creases or cause lines. Flattering to skin and eyes. The accent color is a dark brown with a hint of burgundy, very flattering to brown eyes. The base is very smooth and works with my yellow under tone skin. This is the one I will take on trips. It is so compact. I have tried many other combo eye shadows and this is my favorite. It has a the perfect matt with allumination that is hard to find but so flattering on older faces. Use your own brushes for better results. Lasted all night and was easy to remove. You could take this from a day to night look by adding more of the accent and highlight color.
