This is the best cleanser for acne & sensitive skin. Better than expensive brands, the others from this brand, and the dermatologist favorites... I have tried so many. I've had painful cystic acne plus a lot of red bumps and blackheads for most of my life, and this actually treats my acne without drying my skin. Others have either done nothing, caused me to break out more or left me flaky and dry. I hope they will always make this, because I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't find it. I use it in the shower on face, neck, chest and back, and it keeps my skin calm and breakouts to a minimum.

I love this cleanser. I have been using it every day, morning and night, since they put it out on shelves a few years ago. I have EXTREMELY oily, break-out prone skin. It leaves my skin squeeky-clean without over-drying my face or leaving it irritated. It is very gentle but also strong enough that it is able to remove all the make-up and oilyness from my face at the end of the day. I hope they never stop making this because there are so many cleansers I have wasted money on for "acne-prone" skin that made my acne worse and irritated my skin.

well when I first used this, it had a weird feeling on my face but I thought 'maybe my skin just needs to get used to it'. so i used it a couple more times and that feeling came back everytime, it irritated my skin so so soo bad. I was confused at first because it said it had soothing properties in it so why was my skin getting irritated? i don't know but i just threw it away..

sad sad.. D: it ruined my impression of Neutrogena .

Excellent cleanser. Reduces redness and minimizes outbreaks. For the last 20yrs I have had tried various prescription medications (e.g., tetracycline, accutane)and OTC products (Cetaphil, Eucerin redness control) to combat rosacea/adult acne, and this product is my hands down favorite.

I have rosacea and my skin is extremely sensitive to facial cleansers. This product is gentle even for daily use and doesn't dry out or irritate my skin.

I am 34 yrs old, combo skin with minimal redness on the cheeks. To those who commented about not getting the cleanser in the eyes, it is mentioned right on the back of the bottle. There is a mild salicylic acid in this product (as with many acne treatment products).

But I am using this for maintenance of my redness on my cheeks (not severe as some, but obvious enough). The added benefits of Oil-Free is helpful for summer weather. I wonder if in the winter it will be too drying though. The smell is chamomile.

Overall 5 stars for value, reducing redness and not causing breakouts but preventing them! WIll buy again.

I am 41 and I have suffered and I mean SUFFERED with horrific combination skin, sebborheic dermatitis, graphic dermatitis, cystic acne, regular acne, and rosacea for half my life. I have been to 20 dermatologists, have been on Accutane and many oral antibiotics. Every dermatologists conclusion was my skin was too complicated to treat because in order to treat one problem it would almost always aggravate another. My adult acne had been getting so bad recently I thought I had to try another cleanser with acne medication in it even though I have tried most everything out there and was pretty certain it would leave my super sensitive skin raw and peeling. I can't tell you how blown away I was by this product. After two uses my skin was almost completely blemish free, soft, smooth, and my redness had substantially diminished. I was so in shock to get up in the morning and not see peeling, red broken out skin! I use this once a day in the evening (if I used it more it would dry out my skin) and it works amazingly to solve not one, not two but EVERY skin problem. This product is a dream come true for me. I urge you to try it if you have multiple skin problems. It DOES NOT strip your skin or leave it super tight. It also clears acne beautifully and helps rosacea. For the first time in years I am not afraid to look in the mirror. I am almost tempted to write the company to beg them not to discontinue this product. I have bought a case of it because it is so phenomenal. If you are desperate to get your acne under control but are afraid of drying out your skin so you can't even apply cover up without it flaking, PLEASE try this acne wash. It is hands down the most incredible product I have ever used.

I like this cleanser overall. It smells great and leaves your skin feeling clean. However, I let is sit on my skin for 30 sec for the acne medication to work (don't fool yourself, if it stays on your face for less than 10 sec, you might as well buy a regular cleanser) and if it gets in your eyes or nose, it is terrible. My eyes are red after the shower and my nose burns. This only happens with this cleanser and the similar one with a grapefruit scent. I can get any other cleanser in my eye or nose and I don't have this terrible reaction. For this reason, I won't be buying it again. This can't be a good sign. You want something less aggressive for your face.
