It smells good, it very easy to foam, it come with a pump so you take out only the amount you need and it seems like one of the cheapest one out there. the only disadvantage is that it dries my skin, but since it's winter now i can't really judge if it's solely the product fault. And even if it is, i can't complain, since it's a known Salicylic Acid side effect. overall this is a winner! Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, 9.1 fl oz: In summer especially, I would get little hard bumps on my forehead which would become hard little white heads. Didn't matter how much I washed or scrubbed, I couldn't stop or get rid of them. Then I found 2 % salicylic acid washes. Nearly instant success! I use 2% salicylic wash on my shoulders and chest as well and they cleared up too. Now I use it year round. Especially effective with light scrubbing using towelettes or wash cloth. There are lots of 2% salicylic washes out there. I get the least expensive between Neutrogena and the CVS version but all things being equal, I prefer Neutrogena products. (Neutrogena Retinol anti-wrinkle products work too!) I use the foaming wash not the astringent... Can't say if astrigent would work as well. I keep a bottle in my shower and on my bath counter top. Alternative is to spread it on before you get in the shower and foam up after you get in. Good luck... I hope it works for you as well as it does for me. Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, 9.1 fl oz: i have been using this for about the last 10 years and i can't imagine not having it...i have tried the knock-offs at the big box retailers but nothing is quite as good.. i have even tried the deep clean by neutrogena, but it still doesn't work as well...this really keeps the oiliness down... for those who said it dried their skin too much, you apparently don't need a product this strong...i like that it is a cleanser WITHOUT moisturizers and only has salicylic acid as the acne ingredient... the only change i would like is for it to be fragrance free and aviailable in wet wipes (like the noxzema ones) Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (1 of 1 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful?
