I think this is as good as Salicylic Acid face washes go! I'm a 22 years old guy and this works well for me. It smells good, it very easy to foam, it come with a pump so you take out only the amount you need and it seems like one of the cheapest one out there. the only disadvantage is that it dries my skin, but since it's winter now i can't really judge if it's solely the product fault. And even if it is, i can't complain, since it's a known Salicylic Acid side effect. overall this is a winner!

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, 9.1 fl oz:

I haven't used this product since I was a teenager, but I recently picked this up again. I've lately been having bad breakouts of adult acne, which for me have been painful red bumps all along the sides of my face along my cheekbones and under my chin. At first, this product does appear to make the acne worse, but after continued use (2x a day for about two weeks) I noticed a vast reduction in the amount of breakouts I had and I noticed my skin felt a lot softer and smoother.

The only downside is that this acne wash does dry out the skin. However, I find that the problem is easily remedied with a good, non-comedogenic, oil-free moisturizer.

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, 9.1 fl oz:

I used this cleanser when I had oily, acne prone skin. It worked really really well and kept my skin clear. Doesn't work at all now that I have combination skin because it tends to dry out my skin. I recommend removing eye makeup with a gentle wipe or oil before cleansing because this cleanser can be irritating to the eyes.

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, 9.1 fl oz:

I use this product on a daily basis as recommended via MY Dermatologist. It was his recommendation and used this product for several years and it has done the best for me. It does NOT dry my face at all. It has, actually, improved my skin and I am in my sixties. That does say a lot. He, also, told me not to ever to use scrubs anymore as these helps the skin to break out; should anyone would like this kind of helpful information. Just use daily (once or twice); I use once, before bedtime. If not sure, ask your dermatologist for recommendations. But, mine gave me a sample and I could not have asked for such a more effective product. I wish you all the best for you only this wonderful face you were given. Enjoy the beauty :)

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, 9.1 fl oz:

I used this cleanser for a long time in ignorant bliss, but in my late 20s I started actually having problems with my skin and discovered that this did nothing to help or treat acne (for me, at least) and generally did nothing beneficial for my skin. I still have product left that I use to remove makeup occasionally, but it's by far my least favorite cleanser that I own.

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, 9.1 fl oz:

In summer especially, I would get little hard bumps on my forehead which would become hard little white heads. Didn't matter how much I washed or scrubbed, I couldn't stop or get rid of them. Then I found 2 % salicylic acid washes. Nearly instant success! I use 2% salicylic wash on my shoulders and chest as well and they cleared up too. Now I use it year round. Especially effective with light scrubbing using towelettes or wash cloth. There are lots of 2% salicylic washes out there. I get the least expensive between Neutrogena and the CVS version but all things being equal, I prefer Neutrogena products. (Neutrogena Retinol anti-wrinkle products work too!) I use the foaming wash not the astringent... Can't say if astrigent would work as well. I keep a bottle in my shower and on my bath counter top. Alternative is to spread it on before you get in the shower and foam up after you get in. Good luck... I hope it works for you as well as it does for me.
