I use this twice a day. Although I don't have a persistent acne problem, before using Neutrogena's product, I might get a pimple every few weeks or so. I've been using this oil-free acne wash for about a year now, and I must say it's worked for me in preventing re-occurrences and (when they do occur) severity/duration of pimples or breakouts.

I apply it using one of those exfoliating facial buff pads (no particular brand; whatever's on sale). Afterwards, I use Neutrogena's Alcohol-free Toner, and Aveeno lotion as a moisturizer.

The mentioned combination cleans gently, doesn't dry out my skin, and prevents breakouts. My skin's very clear. My wife thinks my skin looks great, so I'll keep using the mentioned products.

This cleanser is OK...no different from the countless other ones I've used since I was 12(I'm now19). I've had moderate acne for many years and have not been able to find a single product that works for me. I cannot use products with benzoyl peroxide because I have a horrible skin allergy to it, and dermatologist appointments are expensive. This product cleanses well, but leaves my skin feeling uncomfortably tight and dry, and I still break out. Didn't really make anything worse or better, just not very effective.

This is a very nice cleanser in that it doesn't leave your skin tight or inflamed as many other cleansers do. However I didn't notice any improvement with my acne.

It left my face feeling clean but it sometimes made my face dry and I never noticed the zit size get smaller. If you want something that really gets in there and cleans great, try Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub, I love that stuff. However, this is great for using in the shower or something or just cleaning your face if you have a minor case of zits.

I give this Neutrogena product 3 stars because it didn't give me the results I was expecting. It has a creamy texture on my face and didn't leave my face dried out, but it just isn't a good acne wash.

This is a good product, but I think it should be used in the shower. If used first thing or in the morning, it tends to make your face feel oily. It works terrifically in the shower.

I love this product. I hope they never discontinue it! It cleans my skin really well and my acne is almost non-existent (except for the occasional zit right before my period).
I used to take antibiotics and use Retin-A, but either it's my hormones, this product, or a combination of both, but my skin in now clear. Maybe it won't work for everyone - rarely anything does. But I recommend trying it. You do, however, need to moisturize after. I use the Oil of Olay sensitive skin spf-15, fragrance free lotion. The two combine for a perfect skin-care regimen.

This product is ok. It's creamy and gentle and won't dry up your skin. It didn't cause more acne for me, but I felt it didn't fight it either.

The liquid form is soooo much better. This cream cleanser does not lather up like its liquid sister, and it did not clean up any makeup. I recommend Auromere Sandlewood-Tulsi bar soap if you want something that really works and is also all-natural.

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Cream Cleanser Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment, 6.7 fl oz:

This product is GREAT. I have tried many, many different cleansers in the past and none of them have worked. I have spent hundreds of dollars on super-expensive products from department stores. Honestly, this cleanser is gentle, effective, and it smells nice, I have read reviews that it doesn't remove all makeup, but it does. If this cleanser doesn't remove your makeup, either you're wearing more makeup than acne skin can take, or you should try makeup-removing wipes. This product is the only thing that works on my acne (now clear) skin!

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Cream Cleanser Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment, 6.7 fl oz:

This product has helped my skin so much. I was becoming fed up with my breakouts. When I cleanse my face with this cleanser morning and night, I tone with pore refining toner immediately after. My skin is noticeably clear and acne free and I am so happy. When I have the occasional breakouts I use the acne on the spot treatment, which is very, very good. I used to be allergic to peroxide but this treatment did not affect me at all. Great work Neutrogena!!!
