I use this lotion everyday, whether I wear makeup or not. To me, its perfect. I have acne prone, oily skin, but this lotion doesn't make me break out. It goes on so smoothly compared to the visibly lotion one that I used for about 3 years. This one is not sticky at all, and when you wear it under makeup it looks really flawless. I am surprised that it got so many bad reviews because its actually not bad at all. Maybe some people just use too much of it, which can definitely make your skin greasy, but thats just common sense. And everyone's skin is different so it just takes time to find the right product for you, and this one is mine. The only thing that I didn't like about it is that it does have a little bit of a scent, but its not so bad.

Never in my life have I had any problem with acne, even in my teens. And I have not always taken impeccable care of my skin, either. I sleep in make up fairly often and I use drug store brands most of the time. But still, even in my teens, there's never been a single time that I've thought I've really had a "break out".

Until I used this product! I didn't think this could possibly be the culprit, because I usually find Neutrogena products to be quite good, and it's just an oil-free moisturizer...so why would it be the ONE thing to make me break out?

Well, after a couple months of NONSTOP breakouts, and trying all kinds of different things to fix it (toners, cleansers, etc.) with no luck, I finally started using a different moisturizer, and my breakouts stopped immediately! Then I looked up the reviews on this product and was surprised to find that others had similar issues.

I don't know what it is about Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture, but I say just stay away from it. I've tried plenty of products priced similarly like Cetaphil and Eucerin, and they all seemed about like this one in every respect except they didn't make me break out nonstop.

Comments about Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture, SPF 15:

I've been using this lotion a long time and love it. I'm in my thirties, and I am still fighting acne and cystic acne. My skin seems to react much better to this lotion than others. Sounds like some find it too greasy, but I sure don't.

I was using Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash and it dried out my skin so bad I had to buy a moisturizer. I chose this one because the price wasn't bad. However, even it couldn't handle what its Neutrogena Acne Wash cousin was doing to my skin. The bottle said use one pump for the entire face. I was using about three but my skin still flaked! Now that I'm not using the Acne Wash, the moisturizer seems to be working better.

It doesn't sting or turn my face red. This is a very light moisturizer with SPF 15. I've used this for many years and putting it on is my favorite part of my morning routine. It is non-greasy, smells mild & clean, and protects my skin from the sun. I absolutely love it. Incidentally, I've gotten 2 different *guys* hooked on it, and they like it because it's non-greasy and doesn't smell strong like some women's products. We are all 3 loyal users.

I love Neutrogena products and their regular moisturizer, but the SPF 15 moisturizer is tacky. I just go without the SPF and don't stay in the sun long. I hate most SPF moisturizers unless it's light. The Roc brand is pretty good though.

Made my face red and very greasy. The shine was horrible; it did moisturize very well though.

Well this product does what it says it will -- moisturizes and provides broad spectrum sun protection, which is why I purchased it. Some people may not like it because of the sunscreen-smell. Overall I found it to be an ok product, but like many others I found the product to be too greasy leaving me with shine that couldn't be covered up. I have combination skin so that may have contributed to the problem. I'm using up the rest of my bottle on my arms for sun protection, where it actually works pretty well.
A light, oil-free moisturizer I like better for the face is Clean & Clear Oil Free Morning Glow Moisturizer with SPF 15.

It moisturizes well and keeps your skin soft for hours, but it SUCKS because no matter what I do or how I apply it, it always gets in my eyes and burns like hell fire! Makes me sad, cuz other than that, I really like it :(

Comments about Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture, SPF 15:

I thought I'd use this product because I liked the tinted version of this product. At first, it made my skin feel silky, but quickly that feeling went to greasy. I felt like I had grease on my face all day. Then after a while I noticed that it gets in my eyes, (I guess it doesn't really absorb so it spreads). When it first happens I thought that it was my make up or that I hadn't rubbed it in enough. I was wrong. Every time I used this product it would eventually creep into my eyes. It burns and I tear up for about ten minutes, hours after I've applied it. I wouldnt recommend this product. If you like Neutrogena, try the tinted moisturizer instead, (although it can be a bit greasy).

Comments about Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture, SPF 15:

I give this product 2 stars, because while it moisturizes and makes my skin feel soft, it also makes my skin very greasy and shiny. I also have very sensitive skin and something about the sunscreen in this product makes my skin red and causes it to burn. For the nighttime, I prefer the Sensitive Skin formula because it doesn't have any of that stuff in it, but for the day, I have found much better success with Purpose Dual-Treatment SPF15 lotion.
