I've used the toner for years and it's an essential for me -- prepares skin for makeup, gets rid of any cleansing residue. Works as a pore tightener. Works best with the neutrogena pore refining cream, which unfortunately seems to be unavailable these days......

I have used this ever since Neutrogena came out with it and when I couldn't find it in the drugstores I ordered it online. Thank goodness it was still available. There really aren't any other comparable products like this out there. If I thought it were discontinued, I would buy a case of it if it had no expiration date. Please don't discontinue this lline Neutrogena, I BEG of you!!!

This is an amazing toner. I can actually SEE my husbands pores shrinking after he applies it. For me, my skin is smooth but not tight and it definitely smooths the complexion. It has a very strong scent that isn't bad, but it may irritate some.

I suffered from hyperpigmentation and was advised to change my daily facial cleansing regiment. I was mostly focused on the pore refining part of this toner but to my great surprise this stuff actually lightened up my dark spots. I had no idea a toner could do that, must be the Alpha Hydroxy ingredients. It did not dry out my skin but does clean it really well. My skin looks soft and with the help of more Neutrogena products people now think I am younger then 42 years old.

I typically don't chose to use a toner in my skin regimen, but when I do feel the need to boost my regimen; this is the toner I chose to use! If your skin is not used to Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) or Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA) please note that they are just that – acids, and they will irritate the skin causing an uncomfortable burning and/or stinging sensation, initially leaving your skin looking a bit red, like you've been slapped. That all goes away with use and time.

This product has Glycolic Acid (an AHA fantastic for evening skin tone and texture) and Salicylic Acid (a BHA used in this product to reduce the size of pores). No where have I been able to find out exactly how much of each this product contains though. 5% is good, 10% is best but hard to find, 2% is the OTC norm but generally ineffective for long term purposes. My best guess is that this product contains 1% of each since it has two separate types of acids. Don't expect much more from this product that what the name suggests – Pore Refining .. and I think you'll be pleased with it =)

WARNING:- Although it contains some really good products like AHA, BHA, SODIUM PCA (a natural moisturizing agent found in all living cells), ALOE VERA (a natural anti-irritant and moisturizer) and ALLANTOIN (an anti-irritant that helps to retain moisture, increases smoothness, promotes healing, and is an acne fighter) it also contains some really "iffy" ingredients like WITCH HAZEL (a soothing compound that can be irritating to some), EUCALYPTUS (an anti-inflammatory that kills bacteria but also can be irritating), PEPPERMINT (a known skin irritant with cooling properties that supposedly can help reduce itching - why you would need that in a Toner I don't know!) and the most disturbing of the bunch yet listed dead last before "fragrance" so the product should contain very little of the offending ingredient .. PEG 40 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL (a highly disputed "natural" (if you consider castor oil that's been treated with a carcinogenic petroleum based chemical natural) product generally not considered safe for use on injured or damaged skin!)

If you're worried about over drying, irritating, or applying carcinogens to your skin daily you should probably use this product as I do .. only occasionally.

This is the best facial "cleansing product" I have found. It is not drying for my skin at least. I use it evey night and I use Neutrogena Alcoho-Free Toner every morning. In the summer I might use the Pore Refining Toner twice a day. I

This product worked great for me. It is the first toner claiming pore reduction that actually works. I noticed a difference instantly. It also leaves the skin smooth and skin tone is much more even now. You really need to moisturize with this product, but that was the only drawback. A little dryness. I've even received compliments on my skin tone. That has never happened in 44 years!

After using for a year I couldn't find locally. I went to something else and it was then I realized how wonderful this product was. I have oily adult skin and this product reduces breakouts while making my skin look years younger. This is the first review I have ever written anywhere but did so in hopes others will find this product just as great so I can keep buying it!
