If your skin is not used to Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) or Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA) please note that they are just that – acids, and they will irritate the skin causing an uncomfortable burning and/or stinging sensation, initially leaving your skin looking a bit red, like you've been slapped. It does a good job of removing leftover traces of makeup after washing my face and it makes you skin feel incredibly smooth and soft. However after using this for about 3 weeks, my skin is becoming very sensitive to it. It has started to make my skin literally sting after use, especially around my cheek area and forehead. I am a budget shopper and have been using Neutorgena most of my adult life and i'm 70 years old. I can always count on their products to do the job.. Most products that work are harsh. If I use it 4-5 times/week my face looks like have a facial/peel done routinely, but without the irritation from the harsh products. I think using this toner almost every day is nice because it is just a small dose of alpha/beta hydroxy acids to keep your skin looking fresh and refined. Pros

I have to admit that I have also gone off and bought other (more expensive) products hoping for a miracle product for a clean face but always come back to these two.
