WOW! I bought this just to try it as a regular toner, I didn't really pay much attention to the Pore Refining part. BUT I can honestly say that it HAS shrunk the pores on my nose, which is insane. My pores were not craters (like some of my boyfriend's!) but they were definitely noticeable and had those weeeeeeee tiny blackheads in them that can't really be removed. Anyway you could definitely tell even under makeup. Now they are virtually nonexistent. What the h*ll! I was so surprised because nothing ever does what it says, right ladies?

Anyway the toner itself doesn't smell like h*ll and removes little bits of dirt that your cleanser leaves behind. The real purpose of a toner is to re-balance skin after washing. Some toners boast cleaning and blemish fighting as its main purpose. I dunno about this in balancing, because my skin is already pretty balanced, BUT I will say that it makes me skin SO SMOOOTH. It must be the glycolic acid exfoliating? Not sure but I love it. And I know it is this because finals week has just ended and I had no mental energy for toning and moisturizing so I didn't do anything but washing for like 4 days haha and these benefits went away. Hooray for this toner!

This toner works well to reduce pore size. It's a bit drying but quite effective.

I've tried so many different toners over the years and nothing comes close to this. Leaves my skin clean and refreshed. There is a new clarity and luminosity to my skin. It does not over dry my skin or leave it tight. It has a high glycolic acid content and that is a good thing. Glycolic acid is super at exfoliating and clearing the pores and allowing other skin treatments to penetrate even better. The best part: It's inexpensive. I'll never be without this.

I gave this toner a try when I found the stores (and this website) stopped carrying the toner I usually use. I went in search of a new one...and came across this one. I tried in, with the hopes of making my pore smaller. While I can feel my skin tightening when I first use it...I'm not sure yet if the effects are lasting. It smells strongly of rubbing alcohol (which I expected...as there is rubbing alcohol in it)..and it does burn when I put it on...though I have noticed as I use it more, the burning gets less and less...which I attribute to it cleaning out my pores. All in all it is a nice toner that's definitely worth a recommendation.

I would DIE without this product. I am 51 years old and tried everything! I have suffered with acne and oily skin since my teen years. This minimizes my pores, and prevents breakouts. I also use the cleaner. Together the 2 are GREAT. About a year ago, I had this quarter sized brown spot on my cheek. I had it for years. Well, after about 6 months, it was completely gone! Love it love it!

This stuff WORKS, and it is not too drying. About 6 months ago I started to experience patches of clogged pores and blackheads that were so resistant to any product. My skin looked terrible. In addition, it was wintertime so I had to use a moisturizer to combat flakiness that occurred from all of the products I was using to try to treat it. Finally I stopped using any moisturizer, exfoliated GENTLY every other day and started using this stuff. After cleansing I wipe it on with a cotton pad. Then, I pour a bit on my hands and pat it on the bad areas, and let it dry, so it really gets absorbed. I stuck with it for several months, MY SKIN LOOKS GREAT. The blackheads and clogged pores have cleared with 2 x daily use of this stuff. Also, use a different cotton pad to put the product on the problem areas so you don't spread the breakout to the rest of your face. Sounds like common sense but my mom actually had to point that out to me. Use it regularly and you will see results.

I've been using this toner for years and always thought it had some good effect on my skin. However, I was recently reminded of just how GREAT the effect was when I stopped using it for about six months. I got lazy and stopped using the toner in my daily routine. Then one day I realized just how big my pores looked, and I started using it again. Within a week or two, I could see such a dramatic change that I'll never stop using this toner again! Yes, we all know that nothing actually reduces the size of your pores, but when they're full of "stuff" they can look a lot bigger. This toner definitely gets the "stuff" out and makes my skin look so much smoother! It's never stung when I put it on my face, and it doesn't seem to be drying either. If Neutrogena ever stops making this product, I'll be heartbroken.

This is a wonderful toner! Used by itself with very mild face cleansers it will not dry out your skin or irritate it. I have extremely sensitive skin, this does burn a bit when applying but it doesn't last. My pores are DEFINITELY smaller and my skin is more even due to this product. Now, I made the mistake of getting so skip happy and decided to start using this product twice a day with my ZapZyt system. STUPID! Don't do that, I should have known better, I'm still trying to repair my skin after that horrid mistake. I have combination skin; it's super dry but only gets oily to compensate for the dryness. Well, I can't produce oil to save my life or my skin! I am dousing my face in moisturizers; I need to purchase pure glycerin as thats the ONLY moisturizer that seems to take care of this. But other than my silly experience, this is a great product!

I had stopped using toner in the past because I got used to it drying out my skin, but this hasn't dried my skin out and I'm almost finished with the whole bottle. It cleans really well and my skin has been noticeably clearer since I started using it... and I give noticeable results a 5 star rating. The only thing I would add is that I use this toner along with the Clear Pore mask/cleanser and Oil-Free Acne wash scrub, and the whole Neutrogena routine works REALLY well for me.

A reason to love this product: Before hosting a party at my house, I decided to give myself a little mini facial. I opened my pores with a warm, damp washcloth, removed impurities with a gentle gel cleanser, and exfoliated with Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub using a The Body Shop facial brush. Then I mixed a banana with some honey to use as a mask, and toned using this product. I finished by moisturizing with Neutrogena Oil-Free Anti-Acne Moisturizer and tapping my face lightly with my fingers to energize my facial nerves. All my girlfriends commented on how all my redness was gone, my pores were TEENSY, and my skin was glowing beyond what seemed physically possible! This is a great weekly routine for my troublesome combination skin. P.S. DO NOT substitute the banana-honey mask for an oatmeal-yoghurt one. I tried this once, and although my face was moisturized and even-toned, my pores were HUGE!!! 2 months later, and I'm STILL trying to shrink them!!! Stick with banana and honey.
