I just got a sample of this new sunscreen from Bzzagent. I have a 2 year old son. I found that it worked just great, had a nice scent. The only drawback is it is not designated as Tear-Free which is a requirement at my son's school. Nice to see some new players in the Baby sunscreen crowd...I love Neutrogena products, very trustworthy from Johnson and Johnson.

I used this all summer for my 6 mo old and 2 year old who had a bad rash reaction to another sunscreen. Both have sensitive skin/ eczema and did fine with this. No reaction, no sunburns. I used it on face and bodies. So as far as that's concerned it works GREAT. I don't understand that so many reviewers are complaining about reactions. But be warned: it is very messy and takes forever to rub in. A little bit goes a long way, so it's actually quite economical. But it leaves nasty white marks on clothing, stroller etc. whatever you might touch with greasy/ sunscreeny hands after applying it to the kids ...

Comments about Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Sunblock SPF 60+, Lotion, 3 fl oz:

Avoid! I have always been very successful with Neutragena products for my extremely sensitive skin, and thought this would be a great product for our family from an EWG rating, availability and cost. I understand that physical sunblocks will leave a white cast on the skin since that is how they work unless you get nano-particles (which I wanted to avoid). You are suppose to apply 1oz per application but it is impossible to do. Whenever you rub your skin it would just clump up and you end up looking like you tried to rub toothpaste into your skin and the worse part it left your skin completely dried out.

I really like this fragrance free barrier sunscreen from Neutrogena. It rubs in well and leaves my skin soft and hydrated plus protected from the sun. I have allergy problems with chemical based sunscreens, so I am very happy to have found this product. Highly recommended.

Sounded good but caused a rash

Comments about Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Sunblock SPF 60+, Lotion, 3 fl oz:

I bought this product at [...] since it was the only oxybenzone-free product I could find there. We used it for a trip to the beach and generally protected the skin, though not as well as other products. However, the biggest drawback was that it caused a rash on my husband and daughter's skin - like what the other reviewers noted (red, raised, itchy). I wanted this product to work and reward Neutrogena (with my buying one of their products) for trying to create a less toxic sunscreen product, but it didn't suite our needs.

Finally a sunscreen that didn't irritate my 3yr old! We tried many, many different brands and kinds of sunscreens for him and he would always breakout into a rash and have red blotches all over where we applied the sunscreen/sunblock. It was very frustrating for me as I didn't know what to do for him. The rash/blotches would last up to 1 wk. I went online and started my search for a sunscreen that wouldn't make him breakout. I came across this one and decided to give it a try before taking him to the Dr. and seeing what she had to say. I am so glad that I bought it! Yes, it is a bit difficult to blend it in, but in our case it is worth it. My son didn't get a rash or those nasty red blotches all over his body. He didnt complain of any itching or that it stung his eyes. I will be buying this product again.

Caused a massive chemical burn on my skin from the inactive ingredients. It took 2 weeks of prescription steroid cream to clear it up. It's still slightly visible.

I tried this sunscreen out last Friday. By Saturday morning I had a massive raised, itchy, red rash everywhere I had put it (and I had showered the night before. I've been taking antihistamines and seen a doctor once already and will need to see my doctor again to get a prescription to get rid of ithe rash.
The culprit is in the inactive ingredients. I'm going back to covering up in the sun and carrying an sun umbrella or wearing hats. Nothing is worth the pain that I am currently suffering from the use of this sunscreen.

I appreciate the attempt by Neutrogena to create a product free of chemical sunscreens and make it easily accessible to the public but why they chose to formulate the Sunblock Stick (which is only available in a trial size) with the appropriate amount of UV protection and not the Lotion (which is available in both trial and full size) is bewildering. There is not enough Zinc or Titanium in this product to offer full spectrum protection and this product is definitely NOT sweat- or water- resistant so if you choose to buy it and you're going to be active outdoors, don't be surprised if you look like Frosty the Snowman melting in the heat!

I tried this for me b4 our trip as read reviews online here and took a chance. Thank goodness for these reviews. I am not a sunbather but have light skin and no tan and no wrinkles (that you can plainly see). That's the way I want to keep it as the sun just wrinkles your skin. Great for sensitive skin and no perfume and non greasy. Great for non sensitive skin also.

Used on trip DAILY in Greece (Crete, Santorini and Athens--all sun sun sun all day long) for 1st time and loved it!! Put on all over body wherever exposed for sun b4 going out of hotel on tours (walking all day over in 95 degree weather with just a small hat outside mostly around Acropolis, etc.) and wella, no burn. ANd it was hot hot hot and for hours in sun!!

Also used at beach in Greece and loved it but purchased a chair close to water under an umbrella but sun still came through and did go in water. Also used in conjection with Healthy Skin "night" anti wrinkle cream on face with hat. So never tried on face but sure it is fine for senstive skin peopel. NO SMELL WHATSOVER! and no burn!!!
