I normally use Clean and Clear (the blue bottle), but it wasn't in stock a while back so I ended up getting Neutrogena. This product is just as good, if not better, than Clean and Clear's astringent. The product is very effective in reducing the number of breakouts and the look of acne. And compared to other astringents I have used in the past (I'm looking at you witch hazel), it smells great and leaves your skin feeling soooo clean afterwards!

I waited 6 months to write this review, because I wanted to give it a fair chance to prove itself and kept thinking "it'll work... it'll work... one more week..." I am sad to say that it didn't work. My scars didn't fade one bit, not more than they did before without this stuff. Such a disappointment, as I have been searching for an effective acne scar remedy. I used to use the Neutrogena Acne Fade Peel, which was a miracle maker, but they discontinued it for some awful reason.
This stuff dried out my skin, which is saying a lot because I have quite oily skin to begin with, and I used this only once a day at night. It has a really strong scent and apparently doesn't do what it claims.

The only pro is that this one bottle lasted for 6 months.

have tried a lot of various products and this toner works great. saw improvement in skin in just 1-2 wks. has cleared my skin + helped prevent new pimples. also does actually help fade old marks. really great.

Both my 15 yo son who struggles with acne and my 19 year daughter who does not have acne, but works out alot, both use the Neutrogena Rapid Clear 2-in-1 fight and fade toner. It is amazing how much oil and dirt it removes even after you've just showered with soap! My son has very sensitive skin, and has tried many products prescribed to him by a dermatologist and yet he likes the results of the Neutrogena Rapid Clear products best. He uses the Neutrogena toner daily after showering with the Neutrogena Body clear body wash and afterwards he applies the 2-in-1 fight and fade gel. It has markedly reduced his breakouts and improved his skin texture. My daughter just uses the toner to remove excess oil dirt and makeup after showering that regular soap doesn't remove. She tells me its the best toner she has ever tried and yet it is gentle enough on her skin for daily use.

I love how it makes my skin feel, but it does leave it a bit dry, would probably be perfect for someone with oily skin.

I think it's helped fade my acne spots somewhat, but the scent is so strong (alcohol smell) it's hard to use. I probably won't buy this again. Neutrogena has better toners.
