This product works! I use it on the mild inflammatory acne on my chest in the morning after showering and in the evening before bed every day. I did not see results after 8 hours, but I did not expect to. I have been dealing with acne for about 20 years, so I know there is no such thing as an overnight cure. Patience and consistency are key. After about 2 weeks, I saw a dramatic improvement on my chest, though - about 90% clear. I use this in combination with a 3.5% benzoyl peroxide wash in the morning. I had been using the BP wash for about 6-8 weeks prior to adding this Neutrogena product. The BP wash was only providing minimal improvement. The Neutrogena made all the difference. This product does cause flaking (that's what salicylic acid does!) and does cause my skin to have some red splotches, though, which is why I hesitate to use it on my ultra-sensitive face. On my chest, though, these side effects do not bother me at all. I really did not expect to have such terrific results from an OTC product, so it's a terrific suprise that this has worked so well for me. Highly recommended.

I think this is a really good lotion and have been using this since my teens, im now 27 and though i no longer have acne i still get the occasional bump when im under stress. This is especially good for oily/combo skin & in the summer months. i use it with the pore refining toner (in the white bottle) ... i took away a star because you dont get much for the money but it's really not THAT Expensive anyway!

I apply a pea size amount to my entire face after I wash and tone, just before I go to sleep. I've actually only had the product for one day. This morning my pimples were less red and less visible. I've used many different products, but this is by far the most effective in reducing the acne. I was so impressed I had to run over to my computer and post a review. I've never really done this for any other product before. They don't carry it any of my local drugstores, so I'll be re-ordering from this site as soon as I'm running low.

This stuff amazingly puts acne in check AND keeps your skin moisturized without any greasy feeling. I struggled for months trying a gozzillion products to keep severe menopause acne in check. This took care of it quickly without creating any other issues with my sensitive skin.

I use this product under make-up in the morning and at night. I don't use alot just enough to cover my face. It doesn't dry out my skin and helps control my acne. I have sensitive skin and this product doesn't irritate my skin.

This stuff is pretty good. My skin feels hydrated and smooth after I use it, however it does not seems to clear up blackheads.

I have pretty severe acne and I picked this stuff up just about 3 nights ago at a local drugstore. I noticed a difference the next morning when I woke up after applying it after midnight to my skin. My inflammation had gone done on most of my pimples, the redness ceased A LOT and I even had a discolored scar from a recently very bad pimple on my cheek which it is appearing to correct as well. I'm pretty pleased with this product for only paying [$] so I would definitely say it's pretty good. The only thing I am not pleased with is the smell, it's too perfumey =/

Totally cleared my skin up. Also really dried it out at first, but it is worth it to see your skin slowly start chilling out. I was clear in about a week.

To avoid your face getting too dry, try using only this at night, and then mixing it with a more hydrating moisturizer during the day (something w/ spf).
