Though I have found it needs to be administered a few times to get the "rapid clear in 8 hours" effect, it does work.

This product worked great for myself as well as my 15 year-old... It seemed to dry up spots the minute they started which helped minimize the painful spots. I highly recommend it.

I still have spot breakouts of acne and being a Neutrogena product I wanted to give it a try. It does a decent job of the acne but I would recommend it for someone who has larger area of acne and wants something that slowly reduces the swelling and acne. It's fails to do as a spot treatment solution and I will stick with my spot treatment cream

Don't expect this stuff to work wonders - and not in 8 hours, either. But it does work decently and I did see results. I rarely have problems with acne anymore, but now and then I get one or two big pimples. I decided to buy this to speed up the "going away" process, and it worked. I put it on before bed, and woke up to a less inflamed, dried up and smaller zit. I used it twice that day, and the next day, it was as good as gone. So, I've been quite pleased with this stuff. For what I need, it does the trick. I wouldn't recommend this for someone with moderate to severe acne - if you have more than a few zits, you need something more than a spot treatment. But if you need to deal with just one or two nasty pimples here and there, definitely give this stuff a try.

Like the drying effect of the salycilic acid. Also doesn't bleach my clothes like Oxy10 or Clearasil (when used on back areas)

Meh. it just didn't work very well. It was better than doing nothing, but not a great treatment.

Saw a difference the first time I used it - used it before bed and woke up to fewer spots and less redness. It doesn't bleach clothes or fabrics.

I don't think it quite lives up to its "helps reduce pimple redness/swelling/size in 8 hours!" hype, but it DOES work quite well over the course of a day or two.

I recently switched over to Neutrogena from Proactive, so I tried to stick with products that had a similar percentage of salicylic acid or benzol peroxide in them. I've heard horror stories of "post-Proactive breakouts", and I've had a couple small pimples around my chin and mouth since switching brands, and I was honestly quite amazed at how fast it really did work.

Once a pimple started to emerge, the Rapid Clear gel halted the swelling in its tracks and never got any larger than a pinhead. Within 2-3 days, the pimple was almost completely gone.

One thing to note is that it generally works better on surface zits than on cystic acne. So if you have one of those big deep pimples that never quite come to the surface, then this product might not work quite as well.

My only complaint is that I wish the tube was a little larger, considering how expensive it is.

I used oxy pads before I got this product and they worked for me. I got neutrogena because I figured both use salicylic acid and should have the same result. Boy was I wrong. For some reason, this gel does not work for me, but oxy pads do even though they use the same active ingredient. I used the neutrogena gel religiously for a whole week with no results before I finally gave up and went back to oxy. When I did I saw results the same day. Go figure. I rate this zero stars.
