This product does improve the texture of my skin. It dramatically reduces the number of white heads I have when I am using this regularly with the companion night cream. The combo can make my skin a little dry so I still use a good day moisturizer.
I like the way this moisturizer feels on my face, and it makes a great base for makeup. I also love the way it smells, and the pump bottle is the easiest to use. One pump is good for a whole face.
Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle repair SPF30 claims to reduce wrinkles in one week, faster than other wrinkle creams. The National Advertising Division of the BBB reviewed their claims and supporting data and concluded on 12/22/2011: "NAD recommended that the advertiser discontinue the claims ("Most anti-wrinkle creams disappear long before the wrinkles. Until now.) and modify the claim "In fact, it's clinically proven to smooth wrinkles in just one week" to avoid conveying the unsupported message that wrinkles are substantially reduced or eliminated in one week and to specify the parameters forwhich the greatest improvements were seen (photodamage and fine lines)." Given how retinol works in the skin, there is no way it could provide a significant reduction in wrinkles in one week. The moisturizers in these products are the primary agents in the early smoothing of fine lines on the face not the wrinkles.
I wear this daily as my moisturizing lotion. It has helped with dark spots, skin texture, and fine lines. I love that it has SPF 30. I am under 30 years old, and don't have significant wrinkles, but I know that this is helping me prevent them. Great product, and comparable to other spa brands for a much more affordable price.
I used to trust Neutrogena. Although I still like their nighttime retinol products, I read a notice by a dermatologist calling out beauty product makers for using retinol with sunscreen. These can react badly together causing more damage than help. I called the company to ask about it and the customer service just said it was FDA approved. I called the FDA. Yes, it is approved for sale, but that does not mean that it works, just that it does contain the ingredients listed. The FDA wants feedback, but I'm not willing to risk my health to call Neutrogena out. Please let the FDA know if you use this and suffer for it.
I have tried several other well advertised products for my 34 year skin. I have a line between my eyes that is bothersome. My skin just hasn't been looking the same lately and frankly I couldn't find a product that helped until I read about this in INSTYLE magazine. Within one week, my line is far less noticable and my skin looks amazing. It is slightly irritating, however I do have sensitive skin. There is no real noticable fragrance which I really like. I pump covers face, neck and chest.
