Even the lightest shade was a little too dark or too orange for me. The foundation provides light to medium coverage; it evens out skin tone but it won't cover up your pimples too well. The results are a natural looking coverage and slightly dewy, which I like. I'm not sure if it clears up your skin, but it definitely didn't cause me to breakout. Anyway, I probably won't purchase this again unless Neutrogena provides a wider color range.

I have tried so many kinds of foundation for my oily/acne prone skin and I keep coming back to this one. I have a fair/cool complexion and this matches my skin tone perfectly. Coverage is light/medium, so I need coverup if I'm broke out. Despite my skin care regimen and using this makeup (plus taking a supplement for the skin), I still break out every now and then(probably due to my age and hormones being wacky), but using this foundation helps it from being worse. My only complaint is that it seems to "melt" off my skin by the end of the day, but I blame this on my super oily skin. I'd rather use this foundation than use other foundations that stay on all day but clog up my pores causing tiny little bumps all over my entire face!

I'm 57 and have adult acne. This doesn't make my skin breakout and gives good coverage. I just ordered more.

I have been using this foundation for years. I have had acne for years, despite many trips to the dermatologist and using many, many different treatments. This foundation is the only one that covers my blemishes effectively. I have tried many others, but none compare. I once went to the dermatologist for a follow-up and as he came into the room he said, "Your skin looks good, this new treatment must be working....." and as he got closer to me he followed up with, "Oh, nevermind....you just have good makeup" !!!! I knew then that if I could fool the dermatologist, it must be good coverage! :-) I do have a few complaints: I do have to reapply during the day, as it does wear off. Also, it rubs off very easily on anything you touch your face with and tends to get a bit oily after several hours. Oh, another plus is that it comes in a color that looks good on very, very fair skin.

It can be a little chalky across dry skin but a tiny dab of moisturizer around those little problem creases fixes any outlining. It is amazing on my skin, I have made the mistake of falling asleep once or twice without washing it off and woke up in the morning with clear, soft skin. No break outs, no oily mess. It is lightweight, which won me over. I only use a little on problem pore areas to cover up the dappling in my skin but it doesnt melt on my oily skin and helps control oil throughout the day. A little dust of powder and some blending and it stays all day with no mess. It is gentle on sensitive skin and works well with a sponge or a brush. I love it. This has become a staple to my make up collection.

Wow, I can't believe that other review! I have never had any of the problems she describes. This makeup, along with other Neutrogena skin care products, has given me the best skin I've ever had. I've tried sooo many other products, but none of them worked as well as this one.

Aside from the fact that it is long lasting, It's everything that you don't want in a foundation. It's not easy to apply because it's too thick and gloppy. Once it's on your skin, it feels dry and tight. And instead of covering up the unevenness of your skin, it creates a chalky outline around every bump and pimple. It makes every flaw in your skin more noticeable. I don't know if this is related to the foundation because I only used it twice, but about two days after I took it off, my skin broke out around my temples and my hairline. I have huge zits on my forehead now that weren't there before. I am so mad because this product is supposed to be gentle on your skin. I really don't have money to waste on products that make you look worse than you do without makeup. I switched to Maybelline Pure Makeup, which I am wearing now to cover the breakout, and it is so much better. I have used a lot of different foundations due to my acne and this is probably the worst one I have ever used.
