And it can be heavy, but I think that's the purpose - to deeply condition for the day. I usually use it on a Sunday when I'm not going to be going anywhere, because if I try to style my hair after using this, it just goes flat because your hair gets so soft. Product directions say to use weekly but for continued performance you may need to use it every other day.
