After a brief research on what is available in drugstores Neutrogena seemed like a safe bet. MISTAKE. I bought both the facial cleanser and the night treatment, and within 2 weeks my face looked like I never take care of it. I thought at first that it was the coming of the summer, but no. I am 25 and I have dry skin that sometimes produces oil. The cleanser somehow would not do its job properly –the face felt tight and a little dry but not clean– and the night treatment is so greasy that it feels uncomfortable. After a month of using it I decided to give up. My pores were clogged, I started breaking out –and I NEVER break out– and my skin looked lifeless. I threw everything away, went to get a facial so my face would be clean after a month of this so called “cleanser”, and went back to the department store. I did switched to a less expensive brand and my face is back to normal. I don’t know what to think about this brand, in the end it was so bad that it seems unbelievable that someone would put it in the market. Whenever i used the daily mosturizer visibly even it made me have a teary eye and i also get this tingling sensation. After 3days of use my face got burned and irritated. I have combination skin and I did experience dryness the first few times I used until my skin became use to it. I now use this every morning and it keeps my skin shine free for hours. Comments about Neutrogena Visibly Even Foaming Cleanser, 5.1 fl oz: Love, love LOVE this cleanser!! I first bought this about 6 months ago in store...now I cannot find on the shelves ANYWHERE. I have since bought about 10 bottles online. Why does it seem every time I find something that works for me, right after it seems to be discontiued or "improved"? I also use the moisturizer (only item from this line still in stores in my area) and the enzyme treatment (discontinued I believe but still online some places). Love both of these as well. I've been using the mosturizer for a couple of years and decided to try the cleaner. It's a rich, creamy-like cleanser. My face feels refreshed and soft and smooth after cleansing with it. My skin is sensitive. I've been able to use this cleanser daily with no adverse reactions.
