This is a really great, effective sunscreen. I've been using it for several months now (pretty much over the whole summer, almost daily) and I can say that it definitely DOES protect your skin from the sun, and I dont have the issues that I have with a conventional sunscreen with it melting off.
One thing to keep in mind is that while it adheres very nicely to skin, you DO need to reapply every 2 hours to receive adequate protection. So, while this sticks, you still have to use it properly so you don't burn.
It removes easily with a cleansing oil and/or a regular skin cleanser and wash cloth. I use scrubby gloves on my body and cleansing oil on my face and neck, followed by my regular facial cleanser to remove.
Additionally, most all sunscreens stain to some degree.
I was so excited when I saw this product advertised, since I was heading on a vacation where I expected a lot of time in the water.
While the product seems great on paper, I had a really hard time getting the spray nozzle to work effectively. I could never tell if product was actually coming out or not. Plus, after finally getting it to apply, my skin felt really sticky and gross.
This is the best sunblock I've used in years! I'm tan enough already and sunblocks I've used in the past made me even darker. As long as I'm wearing this, I can stay the same. It works for your face too. Sometimes I forget my face sunblock at home so I spray some on my hand, rub them together, and applied it to my face. The fact that I swim outside a lot makes it great!
My husband and I used this product last week in Belize after getting out of the pool, before getting back in 15 minutes later. The next morning, my husband and I both woke to find our sleep shirts GLUED to our backs. They were extremely painful to remove, to the point that I thought I was ripping skin off. We had both showered before going to dinner the night before, but apparently you need to really SCRUB to remove this stuff. Also after doing laundry, we noticed strange orange-yellow stains all over our swim coverups we had used.
We were both sunburned as well, so I can't really speak to its sun protection either.
Bought to try on vacation. This spray stained my daughter's bathing suit and the stain did not wash out in laundry. Has a sour odor when sprayed, so use outside.
I just purchased this in anticipation of summer. I work out at the gym almost daily and when i leave I am almost always not completely cooled down. I am a sunscreen fanatic and when I would put it on it would often sweat off right away. I've been using this and I can really truly apply it over wet skin and it STICKS!! I am extremely pleased with this product. I have sensitive skin and it also does not irritate it. This is another truly wonderful product from Neutrogena. I will definitely be stocking up.
For best results, apply 15-30 minutes before sun exposure. Hold can 4-6 inches away from body and apply liberally, spraying slowly and evenly until product is visible on skin. Can be applied directly to wet skin. Reapply after swimming, excessive perspiration, towel drying or extended sun exposure. Do not apply in windy conditions. Do not spray into face, spray into hand and apply to the face. Use in well ventilated areas.
