I'd been using this throughout my pregnancy and still am now that I'm breastfeeding. I've had no issues - no odors, no upset stomach. Easy to swallow. I wait until drugstore has a sale (<17 dollars) and stock up. At 4 pills a day, I go through these bottles fairly quickly. I take 2 in the morning after my first meal and two after dinner.

Since I got pregnant I've been doing extra research on the best products to use. My gyn prescribed prenatal vitamins that contained DHA but it costs $88 per month which is way too expensive in my opinion. When I found my ob, she told me prenatal vitamins bought over the counter work just as well but that I should also make sure I include fish oil pills if the vitamins don't have DHA. I found the New Chapter prenatal fish oil pills and gave it a try. I have been using them for at least 8 months. These do not make me nauseated and there is no fishy odor. I take 2 after breakfast or lunch and another 2 after dinner. I go thru a bottle rather quickly and wish they came in larger quantities.

I love New Chapter Organics, but this product is way to pricey for what it is. I can get a high quality fish oil for $20 per month. Each bottle of this fish oil costs $12- $18 and provides less than a month's worth of supplement as well as less mg per dose. Not worth it in my opinion.

The only reason I'm not recommending this product is because there are so many more palatable choices available.
I have taken 2 New Chapter products daily for about 3 years now and I love them. I have tried 2 more other their products on an "as needed" basis and they worked great too.
I have always taken fish oils with lemon or orange flavor, but decided to try NC (unflavored). I can't tell if this one makes me burp more, or if the burps just taste so much worse that I notice more. New Chapter tries to keep their products very pure. Maybe there is a reason they don't want to flavor this product. But if they did start adding a little lemon, I would buy it again.
If there were no other fish oil choices out there, I would absolutely take this one because fish oil CURED MY LOW-GRADE, LONG-TERM DEPRESSION OVERNIGHT. Please spread the word.

I love all New Chapter products period. However, Whole Omega is one of the best supplements I have had before. Like another reviewer said; you can tell the difference just by the color.
I never had any aftertaste, burps or symptoms even being pregnant.

I am not sure why other reviewers complaint about the four gels a day? I think that is the reason why they can be small, easy to swallow and less of a chance to take a lot of oil at once and have symptoms. I also believe that I didn't have morning sickness because of NC's pefect-prenatal.

Highly recommend this product.

I switched to this brand about half way through my pregnancy and am continuing to take them now that I am breastfeeding. As the other reviewers said, it is annoying to have to take 4 pills, but they are much smaller than the other fish oil supplements that I've tried. The package says to take them throughout the day but I just take them before dinner all at once (otherwise I would forget).

I do think that there is a difference in quality between this brand and others... even the color of the fish oil is different from others (it's more of a golden color vs. clear).

Bottom line for me is that New Chapter is one of the best brands, so I feel good about using these even if I have to take so many pills.

I took these all through my pregnancy and am continuing to take
while nursing. I haven't noticed any fish burps, odors, gassiness or
any unpleasant side effects. I love knowing these are made from
quality fish oil and I am giving my body the best product out there.
I gave four stars because you do have to take four a day for a
serving and I wish they made a bigger bottle.

I only took 2 a day twice, both day gave me very bad time, feel fishy burps,nausea,gassy,upset stomachache, I even can not sleep during those two nights! This is the worst experiences I ever had with fish oil.

I was excited to get this product because I saw other reviews that said the gels were smaller. I thought I might have to take a couple a day to "add up" to the size of the larger gels, but I didn't realize I'd have to take FOUR A DAY! This is a lot, especially if you have morning sickness. I definitely noticed "fishy burps" afterwards, and I was extremely gassy and had a bad stomachache after taking the gels (but not before). Unfortunately, these didn't work for me [...]
