Comments about Nexcare Tegaderm Transparent Dressing, 4 in. x 4 3/4 in., 4 ea: I use a few different medicinal patches. Some of them won't or don't stick for the required amount of time. These are great for keeping them on. I've turned on many people I know to these. It's the on;y kind I have found that works without breaking me out with my adhesive allergies.

Comments about Nexcare Tegaderm Transparent Dressing, 4 in. x 4 3/4 in., 4 ea: I use dermgesic transdermal pain patches and they don't stay on well without help. This is the only tape that is safe to use with the patches. It works great except for the fact it is not as waterproof as some would have you believe. A warm shower loosens the tape and has edges peeling up. Otherwise this is a great product.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Nexcare Tegaderm Transparent Dressing, 4 in. x 4 3/4 in., 4 ea: This product is a lifesaver for any patient who must wear a medicinal patch that never seems to stick long enough. Simply cover the patch with a Tegaderm upon application (comes in different sizes) and feel free to shower, swim or get caught in the rain. Because Tegaderm breathes medicine is delivered as designed. Tegaderm sticks for days, is very simple to remove and leaves very little residue. Great product.

Comments about Nexcare Tegaderm Transparent Dressing, 4 in. x 4 3/4 in., 4 ea: I have had several abdominal surgeries over the last two years and as a result I have developed a very nasty latex and adhesive allergy. Everything from regular band-aids to Steri-Strips to any type of medical tape (yes, even paper tape) now causes my skin to break out in a nasty rash and blister terribly. The only type of adhesive bandage that I have found so far that doesn't cause a reaction is a product called "thin film" (which is used in conjunction with a wound vac and not readily available over the counter) and the wonderful Tegaderm. It is easy to apply, waterproof, stays put, and allows the skin to breathe. But most importantly, I don't break out in huge blisters when it touches my skin. For those of you suffering with adhesive allergies, I would strongly recommend you give Tegaderm a try. Of course, each person is different, but it's worth trying out if you find something that finally works!

Comments about Nexcare Tegaderm Transparent Dressing, 4 in. x 4 3/4 in., 4 ea: This stuff is amazing - my boyfriend first used it for nasty road rash from a bike crash and I am now using it on my sutures from hip arthroscopy. It is clear, paper thin, and sticks through showers for days and is easy to remove. It's light-weight and easy to stash in a bike kit or your glove compartment in case of emergencies.
Comments about Nexcare Tegaderm Transparent Dressing, 4 in. x 4 3/4 in., 4 ea: These little cellophane-like things are wonderful. I've used them on my mom who has very, very thin skin to cover skin tears, and now on myself with serious rope burn on two fingers. They are great cover and yet breathe. This style, sold here, is easier to apply than the ones you get from the MD's office of a hospital. Comments about Nexcare Tegaderm Transparent Dressing, 4 in. x 4 3/4 in., 4 ea: My mother recently had surgery and they used this in the hospital. She said that this was more comfortable and not itchy like the paper tape usually used to secure gauze and IV's. It is waterproof and is very easy to apply. I recommend this for any large wound that needs to stay clean and that cannot get wet. Comments about Nexcare Tegaderm Transparent Dressing, 4 in. x 4 3/4 in., 4 ea: I love these Tegaderm Dressings. If you've ever been bummed out because you couldn't go swimming or to a waterpark with youre new piercing, this is your answer. You just cover the piercing with one of these patches and it's protected and kept clean. You don't have to worry about getting infections or irritation from the water you are in. Several piercers and piercees have recommended these to me and they are wonderful! Obviously they wouldn't work for certain ear or certain private area piercings but they are great to use on navels, nipples, cheek piercings, and surface piercings.
