The current instructions are to leave it on for one to two minutes while washing your hair, but years ago Nexxus recommended applying it to damp hair, put on a simple shower cap, and apply heat under a bonnet style hair dryer for 5-10 minutes. Definitely more work (and not many people have those dryers anymore), but I still use Emergencee this way, and it gives a really great result. I guess Nexxus changed the instructions to make it more user friendly, but if possible, try it the old way.

This was designed to use every two weeks and my hair looked so great after the first use that I look forward to using it again. I would definitely buy this again.

I use this every few weeks. It's very light on my hair - no heavy residue. Seems to work great!

My hairdresser stripped my hair with bleach so I could have a lighter color...WRONG! It came out terrible and my hair was ruined. I thought! But I found this product and felt I had nothing to lose and after ONE application I feel like my hair has shine and life! I don't think you need all the products it says, but I washed my hair with non sulfate shampoo, used this product for 3 full minutes and then used Aquage deep conditioner for 2 minutes. It is a blessing!

I have relaxed hair and accidentally used super relaxer on my hair for 7 consecutive relaxers. I bought the wrong container and never looked at the strength. All the strengths have the same packaging. When I finally glanced at the product and saw my huge error, I immediately realized why my hair was breaking like crazy!!! Hair was all over the floor and sink each time I combed it.

I happened upon Emergencee by accident. But after the 2nd treatment, I saw a huge difference!! The first treatment I followed the instructions on the bottle and left it in for 5 minutes. I saw no improvement.

After researching and seeing other review, I left it on for 60 minutes under a plastic cap while doing housework. Shampooed with moisturizing shampoo and conditioned with moisturizing conditioner for 30 minutes under hooded dryer, low heat, with plastic cap. I saw the difference!!! My hair literally stopped breaking! No more breakage after many months of hopeless breakage...amazing!

I wish I had found this product many months ago and saved my hair. I used it every 2 weeks for 3 treatments. Now I only use it pre and post relaxer (every 8-10 weeks) to help with relaxer damage.

This product restores moisture to my color-treated, blow dried hair. It leaves it amazingly soft and shiny.

I have relaxed hair and made the mistake of getting a color over the summer. My hair was breaking and shedding like mad! My stylist recommended the Emergencee and like many others was disappointed with the size of the product. I brought the product into my salon to as my deep conditioner and my stylist recommended that I get the professional strength brand - made by Nexxus but different name - sold in beauty supplies stores -Nexxus Aloxxi Polymedic Emergency Reconstructor - 500 ml. It's the same formula but sold under a different name! More bang for the buck :-)

When my last perm fried my hair, I used this with each shampoo and because of it, I was able to get a comb through my hair, style it, get the shine back, all without further drying or damaging my already dry hair.
