This product was recommended by my stylist who has been working to help me improve hair health after brain surgery and hair loss where my head was shaved and scared (about 2 and half years now). I also have alopecia and it came on full force about a year after my surgery, so I had both thinning and circular patches of complete hair loss. After 2 full months of use I had new "sprigs" of healthy hair growth all over my head - very obvious new growth. After 3 months (usually the alopecia spreads for at least 6 motnhs before stopping) my alopecia stopped spreading all-together and new hair came back fast and healthy. Even my stylist commented that my hair looked and felt very healthy and strong and asked what I was using. Friends have also commented about how healthy my hair looks. I use Nioxin everytime I shampoo with no other products (I don't use the other nioxin care products either). I will never go back to any other product for shampooing. My hair has never looked and felt thicker or been so visibly healthy.

Suffering through the menopausal hair loss/thinning. This shampoo helps my hair feel more like real hair and gives it the little extra body it needs. I've only found one other shampoo that I can use on my hair as it is now so this is definitely worth the price.

I am a woman. My hairdresser and I discussed my thinning hair. He recommended I start using Nioxin (both shampoo and conditioner). I have been using them and there is some improvement. It will take some months to get to the maximum.

I didn't realize this product worked until my husband stopped using it. He has very fine hair that has been thinning since his mid 20's. He started using this shampoo, and his hair loss slowed down considerably. We switched shampoos for a while to save money, and he started to loose his hair more rapidly. Needless to say, we started to use this again.

I've been using this product with the scalp therapy conditioner for over five years, and if I hadn't I think I would be bald by now at the rate I was losing my hair!!!!! It adds shine and volume and has definatly gained my confidence!!!! Yes it's very expensive, but what isin't these days!!! A little goes a long way if you use it right!!!

Ok, so this is expensive, but a teeeeeny bit goes an incredibly long way, so one bottle lasts a long time for me. I may be imagining things, but I do think it makes my hair look thicker. Partly it's just that it looks really clean, but not flyaway, which is tough thing for very fine hair. I even have a little shine, which is something new to me. I use it with the conditioner. Smells really great, and there's a bit of a minty tingle that I like.

The stylist reccomended this when I told her my normally thick hair had started to getting thinner. She and another stylist said this stuff worked, and an entire system was on sale for the price of a single bottle of shampoo, so I thought, what the heck, I'll try it. I've heard bad things about Rogaine (all the hair you grew while using it falls OUT if you stop). I'm really surprised and very glad to see this stuff really works. Within three days of using it I've noticed a big difference in the feel of my hair. It looks and FEELS thicker.
