So I saw the commercial and thought this would be cool considering I shave in the shower, as well as as use body wash and shampoo. Why not have all three in 1? As far as a body wash goes, its pretty much on par with normal body wash. Its subpar to normal shaving gel and shampoo however. I think its still a decent buy, especially if you're not the type to stock up. For example, I continued to use my regular shaving gel but when I ran out and needed a shave, this was here for me. This a good backup to have when you run out of shampoo, gel, or bodywash. I also imagine this is incredibly useful to have on a trip, since you just need the one bottle for all three. Those would be its best purposes. I would buy again, but would not replace it with my normal shaving gel and shampoo.

It's soap, and all shaving "creams, gels,," etc. are basically soap. If this product isn't as good for shaving as the best shaving gel, so be it. It gets the job done.

Using the product as a shampoo and body wash makes it no different than the rest of the products on the market. I was interested to see how Active 3 preformed as a shave cream. Although I got a smooth shave from Active 3 I had to apply it 3 times in order to complete my shave. The lather is soapy and does not compare to the lather of a shave cream. It's just easier using Nivea Active 3 as a body wash and just use shave cream when it comes time to shave.
For best lather, massage Nivea for Men Active 3 onto wet hands, washcloth or sponge. Cleanse body and hair, then rinse. To shave, massage directly onto area to be shaved to form a rich, creamy lather.
