While technically a gel when in the can, it becomes a lather immediately upon contact with water and your beard. It a great lather and good for your skin, but if you are looking for a shaving GEL, this is not it.

Nivea makes great shaving products. It's really good stuff.

The price is right, it smells good, and works really well. I used to use Gillete gel and Edge gel and now have switched to Nivea.
Really, this one is not too much different, but oddly enough, this one feels a bit better. Then again, I bought the Gillete Fusion and this shaving gel together, so maybe it's because of the Fusion. Either way I think Nivea moisturizes better.
