It left a whitish residue on my lips, it did not moisturize very well, and it did not last long. On a positive note, it does have SPF 30 and it didn't cause any adverse reaction (I've been allergic to lip balms in the past). But I would not buy it again or recommend it to anyone. Its hard, dry consistency does not moisten lips. The Environmental Working Group gives this product a rating of 5, Moderate Hazard. Don't mind the taste and it does prevent burns. I bought the passion fruit one: maybe that'll taste a bit better. Comments about Nivea Lip Care A Kiss Of Protection Sun Protection Lip Care, SPF 30: I really like this SPF lip balm., it does exactly what it is supposed to do. Some people complained about the white waxy appearance it leaves behind; however, I found it to only to be that way if I put tons of it on. You only need a couple of swipes on your lips for it to be effective. Also, I tend to go outside the natural lip line when I apply it...taking care to reach those fine lines that are starting to develope now that I've hit my 30's. I love how the balm is thick...lots of staying power! It's true that it doesn't taste great; however, what product with a decent amount of sunscreen in it does. The balm is so thick that I hardly ever get any "slipage" into my mouth. As a matter of fact, when I have this balm on, which is about every day, I am reminded not to lick my lips, which causes drying...kind of like a trainin aid Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (2 of 2 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful?
