I use the Nivea lotion for medium to dark skin on my legs every day in the summer (which lasts from April to October in Phoenix) and I hardly every have to shave anymore! I also have a great faux tan on my legs which helps to hide sun damage spots. I really depend on this lotion now as it's so hot here that you can't wear long pants or dresses to cover up your legs. They are always on display and this terrific product saves me time shaving and my legs look a lot more attractive. Please don't stop making this lotion Nivea!!

Perhaps I haven't been using it long enough yet, but I see no real change in the color of my legs, or the frequency I need to shave. However, the moisturizer leaves my legs feeling ridiculously smooth and it smells great. If you're looking mainly for a tanning product, this might not be it for you. If you're looking for a daily moisturizer for your legs that *may* impart other benefits, this is it.

It goes on clear but develops a light tan within a couple of days. I use it daily (exfoliate every other day) in the shower and again before bed if I want to speed up the tan. I can skip a day or two after I reach my desired tan color. I've also noticed it has made the hair growth on my legs slow down - cool! I didn't need to wear gloves when applying since this is a gradual tanner. Just washed my hands and cuticles well after. The fair to medium is very light, not like a beach vacation tan.

I have used it twice. I was hoping for a barely-there glow or a light tan. Today, my legs are YELLOW, and streaky around the ankles. Not even remotely natural-looking or attractive. Hopefully the color will scrub away.

I loved this at first. The tan looked great. I put it on in the morning after showering and by the time I went to bed I was tanned. Everyone commented on my legs. Thought I had been going to a tanning bed. BUT....3 days later my legs broke out in a horrible rash. I have been dealing with it for 4 days now. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of the rash without going to see a doctor! I have used other brands of self tanning lotions and have not had this problem. I was very satisfied with the look and how it went on. There was a slight smell. But this rash is driving me crazy! The rash is only on my legs and has not spread.

I thought I was back in the 60's-70's and using QT. No matter how careful I put it on, it comes out streaky, blotchy, and I look like I have some strange disease. Very orangy also. It was so bad looking this mornig, I had to put panythose on, and the temperature are going to be near 90 today. Guess I'll go back to the Jergen's product, which I always had good luck with. At least I didn't put this on my face!

I've tried a few brands of sunless tanners and always disliked the unpleasant smell that is apparent even after using your favorite cologne! Nivea somehow has the right mix. I may test- drive-it on my arms, shoulders and neck. Good price too.

I like this as a self-tanner--I use just a little dab and rub it in very, very well, using a vigorous circular motion, and feathering it out toward the areas I don't need color on. (I also rub a little jojoba oil on my palms and fingernails before using it, to help prevent it from soaking in there, and wash my hands well immediately after applying the Nivea.) It smells okay--powdery, but not overwhelmingly so, and I haven't noticed any off odors. I've used it three times over two days and have already noticed a nice subtle color that seems very natural-looking, no streaks at all. Works okay as a moisturizer. Can't speak to the shave-minimizing part of it, but if it has any effect there at all, it'll be a bonus.

For someone who knows how to apply a self tanner, this works well. The secret is to EXFOLIATE before you use it. I exfoliate on Mondays, and apply regular moisturizer after I shower. Apply the Nivea Sun-Kissed Beautiful Legs on Tuesday, regular moisturizer on Wednesday, Nivea Sun-Kissed Beautiful Legs on Thursday, etc. I use it on my whole body (except for my face). After I wash my hands, I use a cotton ball to apply more lotion to the back of my hands and wrists. Just be careful arould elbows, knees, and the soles of your feet, and make sure you don't get dressed until it is completely dry.
