I use it in addition to sun-bathing. My tan looks deep and even. If your skin is very light and you are using the darker tone, it might not work that well.

Of the many gradual self tan lotions I've tried, this one creates the most natural tan and lasts the longest. It goes on evenly and smells decent too.

I like Nivea products, but this one didn't work for me. The aroma is very nice like baby powder, not like most self tanning products.

Thank goodness Nivea came up with a self-tanner! My absolute favorite brand of any skin care product, this Nivea product doesn't smell like any other tanner (although they should make one with no scent at all) - it's a powdery scent and not at all overpowering. Although I'm fair-skinned, the light tanner is a bit too light for me after one application and shows little color and the darker one is perfect. I use it twice a week and hope this is a product that Nivea NEVER discontinues.
