I gently swirl this around my eye around and then rinse off with water. No rubbing or tugging required. Eye make-up just melts off.

I can't find this in any drugstores any more so I always buy several from Drugstore.com at a time. I love the consistency. It is perhaps a bit thinner than the earlier version of this product.

For years I was a devoted user of the old Nivea formula, to the point that I bought 5 tubes when I heard it was being discontinued. This formula IS NOT the same as the old one. This version more watery and far more harsh - it actually stings - and, as another reviewer said, it's not nearly as effective as the old formula. I'm looking for a new brand.

This eyemakeup remover worked as good as my old clinique eyemakeup remover and for much less. The bottle will probably last me a year or more. It was extremely gentle,and very effective in removing my eyemakeup. Now I do not use "waterproof" mascara,so I can not say how effective it is on that, but for what I use it is just a great product.

I am so relieved that Nivea has recreated this eye makeup remover. When I received an e-mail from Drugstore.com advising me that the original product(in the blue tube)was being discontinued I ordered 10 tubes. My surplus was running low (I was down to my last 2 tubes) so I started stressing about having to find a new product to replace this one. I was relieved when Nivea introduced this product. It is an exact replica of the original product. Prior to purchasing I did a comparison of the ingredients from the blue tube and the new product ingredient description provided by drugstore.com (thank you drugstore.com) and with the exception of maybe one ingredient, the product is the same as before. Works great for waterproof eye makeup & mascara. Leaves no greasy residue and is gentle on the skin. I ordered 4 bottles. Will be ordering more.

Great product for removing eye makeup. Works much better than a liquid. You rub a lil gently on each eye until mascara is softened and then you gently wipe inward with tissue to remove.

I used to buy this product in the stores and was very diappointed when it was no longer available. Thrilled when I found it online.
Honestly I m surprised that other users are having trouble or do not like it. I love this product. It removes ALL eye makeup and mascara, waterproof or regular. The old bottles used to give directions, maybe that is the problem. If you are having problems, try this. Wet your lashes first with warm water, shake bottle then apply remover to you fingertips. Gently rub in a circular motion over your eyes till the mascara is released from you lashes. Use a warm wet washcloth to remove. I have never had a problem, Note: Waterproof mascara takes a little longer for the mascara to release itself from the lashes. Good Luck

This is indeed a 'gentle' eye makeup remover, perhaps a little 'too' gentle, since it doesn't seem to cleanly remove all eye makeup (and I don't even wear a ton of eye makeup). Its a white lotion-y liquid. I massage it on my eyelids for a couple of seconds then rinse with water. Hasn't irritated my sensitive eyes/eye area so thats a plus but it definitely leaves some makeup-residue behind (which rinses away with my usual facial cleanser). Its 'okay' but not the best I've used. Probably okay if you need a gentle product & don't wear a lot of eye makeup (and don't mind a little extra rinsing).

I too was extremely disappointed that the old Nivea Visage was removed from the market - I had used it for the best part of 9 years or so. I don't think the replacement is quite as effective as the old one, I wake up in the mornings with black under my eyes, and that's after I have thought I removed everything the night before. Another thing which I am not happy about, for ONE reason only, and that is, the 4 Fl oz bottle will not be allowed in carry-on luggage on fights and as I always carry my cosmetics with me, this will present a bit of a problem. One is NOT allowed anything over 3 fl. ozs, even if the bottle is half full, which means that this has to be properly wrapped and put into luggage going into the hold. I don't fly all THAT often, but when I do, and particularly if I have ONLY carry on luggage, this means I will have to go out and buy some cleansing pads or something like that? Bit of a pain!!Drugstore.com however have been fantastic in helping me to change the other Nivea Visage that I ordered and which just did not do the trick. I will recommend them any day[...]
