At 1st did not like this product as much as the L'oreal oil-free eye makeup remover. Used up all the L'oreal product & then started using the Nivea eye make-up remover exclusively just to remove the black residue from mascara on my eyelids & under my eyes (don't use it to remove mascara on the lashes as the mascara I wear is not water proof). Then I started noticing that my eyelids felt soft & hydrated, the flakiness was gone & I wasn't using any eye treatment. Now the bottle is getting low & I'm ordering more. Great product! Am 59 years old & was an avid sun bunny for many years in my life.

Great product for such a great price. I used to spend too much $$ for Clinique's "Take the Day Off" but got tired of spending too much money for a mediocre and greasy make-up remover. I found this product and have been a fan ever since. It's never greasy and has a pleasant scent. It even takes off stubborn waterproof mascara with ease. Love it!

This product is not at all like the old Nivea Eye Makeup Remover which was gentle and creamy. Not only is this remover ineffective but it stings on contact.

This eye makeup remover is not effective. I had to really scrub to get everything off (and I only wear eye shadow and regular mascara) which left the skin around my eyes burning and nearly raw. After trying it multiple times (with the mindset of "maybe my skin just needs to get used to it") I threw it away. NIVEA VISAGE: please bring back your old eye makeup remover!!! I was a loyal customer for about 10 years and cannot find a suitable replacement. This product you have on the market to serve as a replacement isn't effective and frankly, has caused me to have a lower opinion of your company. For whatever reasons you had to stop producing your old eye makeup remover, please fix the problem and put it back on the market!!! Thank you.

This product is not very effective at all. tried to get the eyeliner and eyeshadow off my lids after i washed my face and i actually had to rub very roughly at my eyes for anything to even come off! with my old product, all i had to do was dab a little on and the makeup would melt right off. not with this stuff. takes so long now to remove my makeup. it's like using water on my makeup. very unhappy with it. i want to return this, but i can't considering i took it out of its shrink wrap. boo. :(

It will work, it just takes two cotton balls per eye. Its very irritating to keep scrubbing and it leaves an oily feeling. It also smells strongly which automatically makes me think it can't be good for the sensitive eye skin. I will finish up this bottle and find something less troublesome.

What I had before was a cream. This is a liquid. [...] Do not like it at all. Takes a lot more to get eye make-up off. I am stuck with 5 bottles. Wasted my money. Wonder why Nivea no longer sells the other eye make-up remover in the US ???

I had used the Nivea Visage eye makeup remover that was discontinued...it was more like a cream consistancy. I would put it on my madeup eyes and the makeup would just melt off effectively. But this stuff is water consistancy. So you have to soak a cloth and rub your makeup off. NOT GOOD for delicate skin around your eyes. Plus, the stuff goes fast. I don't like this stuff and will look into the other Nivea makeup remover that is not labeled as "gentle".
