I have fair skin that requires high SPF during the summer in Cape Cod, MA or on vacation in the Caribbean & this is my top choice for sunblock. It's thick & takes some effort to rub it all in, but I think that's a sign of a quality, water resistant sunblock, so I've learned to deal. I initially apply two layers (yep, I'm pretty Type A a/b preventing sunburn!) before heading out in the sun, then reapply after any extensive swimming or sweating; this allows me to develop a gradual tan w/o burning. The formula is definitely on the more moisturizing side which some may find greasy. (My husband doesn't like the thick formula & refuses to wear it.) Comments about NO-AD Sport Sunscreen Lotion, SPF 50, 16 fl oz: This product works very well, comes in a large enough container (16 oz.) and a really good price. The best part is that it does not have a perfumy odor added and needs only two applications for a full day on the water. First application in the morning and second application just after noon for excellent sun protection. It was first recommended to my by a highly regarded dermatologist about 10 years ago but but local drusg stores only occasionally carried it in stock. I can always find it available at drugstore.com.
