This is a great product because it is safe from chemicals and tested for contaminants such as mercury and heavy metals. However, this capsule is weird to chew. My 4 yr/old spit it out the first time saying that it was yucky. I tried to get him to swallow the small capsule but he could not. So, I would recommend this for older kids who can easily swallow capsules. I tried to chew it as well and the taste was not bad but chewing fish oil is not ideal because it leaves a film in your mouth. However, I was able to easily swallow the capsule because it is so small.
My 5 and 8 year old take these well. One loves the taste, the other just tolerates it. If the child bites them open in their mouth, there is a nice lemon flavor. I tried it myself and thought it wasn't bad. Keep cold for best flavor. This product has had a noticable effect on my autistic child's mood. He is less likely to have verbal outbursts than before.
My toddler boys ( 2.5 & 4) have been taking these for 2 years now & LOVE them. Since they have fish on the bottle, they call them "fish bubbles" due to the round shape of these gels. If you bite them they do pop & leave a bit of a chewy capsule, but they also dissolve, if you don't bite them. As for the taste, my 30 year old husband is the only one who has an issue with them, I like them as well & I'm an adult. My picky boys like them & I really think they're an over all great product for the category. I've tried MANY comparisons & these have the best & least *fishy* flavor or after taste of all.
My children look forward to taking their daily vitamins. They enjoy these capsules which provide healthy benefits to their developing minds and bodies.
These are great. My 4 year old can swallow them with a drink. As for the "great Lemon taste"...um not so much. My son gagged and almost threw up when he tried chewing one and my 13 year old daughter crossed out " great lemon taste" on the bottle and wrote "great Poison taste". Other than the flavor...my kids swallow them without complaining and am hoping to see some focus results in the future!!! Next time I will probably buy these with the added vitamin D.
My kids were not too pleased with the taste when they first tried chewing it, but the taste doesn't really matter, since the pills are small enough for them to swallow instead. We've noticed an improvement with focus, and school issues have improved, so we are definitely going to keep buying this product. All Omega-3's are not the same. Nordic Naturals Juniors are a much better quality Omega-3 than the ones we've taken in the past.
My two girls take these daily! They love the flavor and don't give me a hard time at all ~ a matter of fact, they go to the cabinet themselves to get them. Nordic makes a great product.
