I take Omega-3s 2 times a day taking up to 2000 mg per day. This one has lemon added, so you do not burp up fishy taste. Should be kept in refrigerator, so it's out of sight and I forget to take it sometimes.

These Omega 3 Fish Gelatin Caps are not your regular fish oil pills. They're special because of how they're made! If you read ingredient lists on just about any other bottle you can get your hands on, you'll see GELATIN listed. We don't eat beef products so traditional gelatin is a no-no too. We were really quite happy to discover these which utilize fish gelatin for the coating/caplet. It makes these puppies cost a lot more but for us there's no question that they're a fantastic choice, and worth the extra expense. We're just so glad we can get 'em at drugstore.com because they aren't so easy to find in other stores, typical big-box establishments, or even on other websites we've searched. If you are trying to avoid beef and need the cholesterol-lowering assistance this type of product can give you, I know you'll be very satisfied with these. Go for it!

My MD recommended this product to me. I've taken it for a couple of years and haven't had any of the negative experiences that many people have when taking fish oil (fish tast, burping etc.). For contrast -- I recently tried New Chapter's Wholemega and it had a bad taste and made me feel queasy for days (I took a break and then returned to using it after a few weeks and had the same negative experience). Having such a bad experience with another brand made me appreciate how good the Nordic Naturals product is.

If you've never taken Omega 3's before this is a great place to start. It's easy to take and skips Omega 6 which many people have too much of already. If you start here and this product works for you you could then try Ultimate Omega. If you are looking for something for children try the Children's DHA Strawberry or the Nordic Gummies. Otherwise this is a great product to start with as you improve your diet and work with your doctor on over all improved health and longevity.
