I have tried Orthomega and Expecta Lipil. I was using Orthomega before I became pregnant. You only have to take one per day, but the pill is huge, and I still experienced burp up when I became pregnant. I then tried Expecta Lipil, but wasn't convinced that it was potent enough. The local organic foods store recommended Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA. I did research online and decided this was the best product for me because it had the most complete Omega 3 and Vitamin D3. I have not been disappointed. I take 2 capsules with dinner or at bedtime. I have experienced absolutely NO fishy burp up or after taste. I trust the efficacy and purity of this product. I plan to continue using this product after I have the baby while I'm breastfeeding. When I first opened the bottle, it smelled very strongly of fish. I'm ok with that, so this supplement works for me. But if you don't you can handle it, stick with Expecta Lipil or another non-fishy pill. This is also pretty expensive stuff, but apparently, very pure. Comments about Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA 500mg Fish Oil, 90 soft gels: I like this and bought it based on the reviews from this site. I take it at night and have had no problems with fish smell or burps - I can't stress how much I dislike any seafood so this was huge for me. Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA 500mg Fish Oil, 90 soft gels: I had some contractions and preterm labor, as a scientist I can't say that I am 100% sure it was caused by the rosemary oil/extract in it,but to be on the safe side I decided to stop taking these gel. on the second bottle. I think might be appropriate after pregnancy or for those who are not sensitive to rosemary, Pros

Comments about Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA 500mg Fish Oil, 90 soft gels: My husband and I are TTC and I wanted to start preparing just in case I got pregnant. The pills are easy to swallow and NO FISHY AFTER TASTE! I definitely noticed a difference in my moods after I started taking the DHA supplements. I have been happy go lucky and that is typically not me to be the optimistic one. I also have noticed that my memory has gotten sharper as well. I had a physical recently with bloodwork and the Dr. is always on me to raise my good cholesterol and it never seems to go up and for the first time in years my good cholesterol has gone up. I really do attribute it to the DHA since that is really the only thing I have been doing differently. Definitely worth the money. Pros

Comments about Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA 500mg Fish Oil, 90 soft gels: I started taking these about 4 months ago when my husband and I were thinking about trying to concieve. I take them just before bed, and have not had any issues with upset stomach or "fish burps." I did a lot of research before selecting on this product, as I was concerned about the purity of the ingredients. Pros

Comments about Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA 500mg Fish Oil, 90 soft gels: I have been taking this DHA since we started trying to conceive and am now 15 weeks (and still taking it). I have had no problems with - including no fish burps. If you're having problems with any kind of fishy after-taste - put them in the freezer and that problem should disappear. Pros

Comments about Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA 500mg Fish Oil, 90 soft gels: I take one capsule twice daily, per instructions, even though I am not in a prenatal situation. I bought this particular product to get the amount of DHA contained in it. I have been taking it for one week, and so far, I really like it. I have read the consumer reports and Nordic Naturals has a high rating. I will continue to buy it. Pros

Comments about Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA 500mg Fish Oil, 90 soft gels: I have been taking these vitamins preemptively while we are trying to conceive. I really researched what ones to take as when you are pregnant, you don't want to mess around with what you ingest. This is the top company for fish oil, so even though these are pricey, at this stage in life I think they are worth it. They do give you "fish burps" but I just take them right before I go to bed so I never notice unless I stay up a bit too late. No fish burps the next day. Pros
