The product is as solid as a brick. The jar says not to put it in the microwave but to scoop out into a microwave-safe bowl and heat to soften - which is impossible without a chisel. Or boil water on the stove and place closed jar into it to soften. This is waaaay too much work!

I've bought cocoa butter before but never this brand. The other times I had it, the butter was the consistency of dairy butter at room temperature. I mean it would hold it's shape, but it quickly melted under a finger tip touch and was easy to spread. Not so with this brand. . . the stuff was rock hard. I put it in the microwave, a minute later it was still too hard to spread with my fingers. I had to microwave it for two full minutes and then the stuff became liquid, like oil.

Yuk. It was too messy to use.

I love this cocoa butter. I use it as an ingredient to make my own body lotion and lip balm. I've been switching to all natural products for quite some time and now that I'm pregnant, I'm very concerned about what goes in and ON my body. Nothing beats homemade beauty products - 100% natural and no nasty chemicals added.

I love the chocolate scent of this butter - all cocoa butters smell like chocolate anyway as it comes from chocolate beans. When I mix it with oil (and beewax when I make lip balm) the scent is still there but toned down a lot.

I wish it came in an organic version of this cocoa butter.

I bought it because I am making my own natural body butters. Obviously you can not use this butter directly because of the hard texture. I warmed it up with other ingredients to give it a smooth creamy texture. Anyway, this cocoa butter is way overpowering. Matter of fact, it is horrible. Even my husband said it stinks. I will stick to shea butter and coconut oil with this brand.
