I have a horrible combination of acne-prone, very dry skin. Treating breakouts was awful because my skin would hurt so much and be scaly dry. So I wanted to try something that would deeply moisturize my skin without causing acne, and maybe even help with it. I considered Argan oil but came across almond oil, and read how it's great for your complexion and absorbs really well. It's true! It hasn't caused me any breakouts and my previous acne is healing. It's super moisturizing but absorbs astonishingly well - I was worried I'd feel like a grease monster but it leaves skin comfortable, hydrated, soft, and not icky or greasy. It also has no discernable smell. And, the icing on the cake... the price! You get 16 freakin' ounces! It will last forever. I love it. I'm going to try using a little on the ends of my hair, as well, and mixed in with my body lotion. Then I wore a new pair of black leggings, I washed them first, and the oil pulled the color out of them, died my skin, and strangely enough my toilet seat black. Then I noticed it started smelling really strong after about 3 weeks. I finally tossed it as I couldn't take the smell. All the clothes I wore while using still have that slightly too nutty, off scent. It worked, but I guess you have to use it fast. This wasn't for me. Comments about NOW Solutions Sweet Almond Oil 100% Pure Moisturizing Oil, 16 fl oz: I use this almond oil every day as an alternative to body and Shea butters because I have very dry skin and the latter products do get expensive. The almond oil lasts much longer and I use it on my entire body. I've had my bottle longer then 3 months and there has been no change in it's pleasant aroma, nor has it's composition changed. I've not experienced any acne breakouts. I even use it as a facial moisturizer a few times a week. I am very satisfied with this product. Of course, common sense tells you to not wear leggings or any cotton or knit garment as those materials will absorb any of the oil still on top of your skin. I thought it had a locker-roomy smell too, but I thought it would fade, and assumed that was just the scent of this oil. It didn't fade and I won't buy this again. I always put the oil on my body right after a shower. It has helped a lot with dryness as well as some discoloration I get due to dryness. I use 1 teaspoon brown sugar or natural sugar and 1 teaspoon almond oil. Gently rub under the eye. I have used so many eye cream and they were not working. Now they are working after exfoliating.
