Got this for my husband for his psoriasis and it works great in conjunction with oral vitamin D3. Smells nice with a light citrus smell. I use it as well as a moisturizer.

Comments about NOW Solutions Vitamin D-3 Cream, 4 fl oz:

I have an autoimmune disease (UCTD) that not only affects you internally, it causes rashes, eczema and skin irritation/discoloration, esp. with sun exposure - even if I wear sunscreen or long sleeved shirts.

My rheumatologist recommended I go to a compounding pharmacy for Vit. D-3 cream, but we are rural, there are none close by and I worry about formulary consistency.

I found this cream on the web and ordered it out of desperation. I am so thankful I did.

My hands used to itch, break out in blisters, crack and bleed...if I went out, I'd hide my hands and wear bandaids on my fingers to hide the bloody cracks. Not attractive.

This skin damage would last, in varying degrees, for months and leave tight, red, shiny, wrinkled skin behind when it finally cleared.

Now, I use this cream at first tingle and it doesn't seem to progress much past that.
I'll get a tiny red patch and then it goes away with treatment of the cream.
Amazingly, it also improved the red skin left after the break out.

The cream has also improved the texture and look of the damaged skin on my arms.
I still have blotchy skin on my arms, it is the nature of the disease, but they look so much better and itch so much less.

The only negative I have is the smell. Orange baby aspirin, a smell I have a very strong reaction to since raiding the bottle as a child.

I will never like that smell or find it pleasant, but I can tolerate it for the healing effects. Easily.

I didn't expect much from this cream because I'd used other OTC creams for eczema, which made my skin feel better, but really only superficially and did little to stop the inflammation or promote actual healing.

Actually, I expected to be disappointed.

I am so happy I put my skepticism aside, literally held my nose ;) and tried it.
It has worked very well for me and I won't be without it as long as they make it.

I use it several times a week when my skin even if I don't 'need' it for a flare.

Comments about NOW Solutions Vitamin D-3 Cream, 4 fl oz:

I was diagnosed with psoriasis aboout 4 years ago. I am 67 years old & thought I would lose my mind with all the itching, it was mostly on my lower legs. It is very ugly & red & the more I scratch, the worse it looks. I have tried a number of things including a RX from my Dermatologist, but the results are minimal on all. Then I read, a short time ago, where doctors were having some success treating Psoriasis with a RX strength of vitamin D,(so as I already had this NOW D-3 cream in my cabinet) I thought maybe it would help. I have been using it just 1 time a day all over my lower legs, and not only does it smell wonderful and make my skin silky, but the itch has almost totally stopped. To me it is a miracle, and ITS ALL NATURAL WITHOUT PARABENS, so I am not allergic to it. I have purchased many products from NOW, and have been very happy, so when I saw this cream I thought I would give it a try....so happy I did.
