Seems to be helping but I still am not confident that it has stopped him completely. I still pick it up immediately to be sure. Time will tell.

I honestly don't know if they work because my dog doesn't like that taste and doesn't want to eat them.

Comments about Nutri-Vet Nasty Habit, Chewables for Dogs, 60 ea:

We adopted three 7-yr old chihuahuas from a breeder - they had been kenneled for 7 yrs and ate their own poop. This was our first experience with this and found it disgusting. We purchased expensive meds from our Vet, but with having to give it to these 3 and the 2 we already had it was too expensive.

This product is extremely effective and less expensive, and I recommend it highly!

Comments about Nutri-Vet Nasty Habit, Chewables for Dogs, 60 ea:

I have two dogs and only one has the problem but I give it to both. There were two instances when they were taking the tablets but have not had an incident in a long time. If you have an occaisional problem the first 2-3 months, don't give up!
I give these tablets to both dogs twice a day by putting the tablets in their food. They like the taste and always eat the tablets even if they don't eat all their food.
The Vet suggested a product but it was a lot more money and I would not have been able to keep the dogs on the product long term due to cost. I really don't know what I would have done if this product hadn't worked so well.

It was embarrassing to see what my dog was doing. YUK! But I give him these in with his food and now he will just sniff it and move along. Thank you!

Comments about Nutri-Vet Nasty Habit, Chewables for Dogs, 60 ea:

My older dog (now 6) had this problem as a puppy. a friend suggested a similar product and that did the trick quickly. The new puppy (now2) has been much more determined. And the other one - I guess not to be outdone - started up again too! It was pretty bad. I tried all the regular stuff - different pills, tenderizer on their food - with no result. I decided to give the Nasty Habit a try.
I wasn't sure at first. Both dogs are on the border for what dosage they should get, according to their weight. I had to up what I was giving them by 1/2, then I think I doubled it for a while.
I now am giving them 1 1/2 & 1 tablet (both are small dogs) twice a day. IT does seem to be working, but it was hit or miss for a while. I can't remember when I first started with it, but I know it has been at least 3 months.
I'm hoping I can cut back a little more - the price can't be beat, but that's still a lot of tablets in one day (sorry for those of you with the big dogs!) but I still see them "testing the water" after they go, wondering if there's a good snack there!

Comments about Nutri-Vet Nasty Habit, Chewables for Dogs, 60 ea:

I have 4 dogs, including a great dane. One of my 50 pound mixed breeds has the "nasty habit" of eating the others' feces.......gross huh! So I have to feed the other dogs the tablets, and it takes about 6 a day just for the great dane. It could be that I have the only dog which is immune, but he still eats SOME of the feces, but now not all of the feces. So it definitely helps, but in my case does not totally eliminate the problem. CAVEAT: in order to protect dirt in our flower beds, we have always sprinkled cayenne pepper into the dirt, which has always worked well.....however, the feces-eater also enjoys a bit of spicy garden dirt, so it is entirely possible that he is just weird and this would work well for normal dogs!!
