The microflora growth concentrate selected for PB8® is inulin, a natural carbohydrate from chicory root (Cichorium intybus). Inulin is also found in a variety of fruits, vegetables, and grains. Inulin promotes the selective growth of beneficial bacteria in the intestine and is considered a "Prebiotic".

Being a Type 2 diabetic, I am prone to yeast infections and splitting of my skin at the corners of my mouth (also due to high yeast). Since I started taking Pro B Acidophilus, the yeast infections and mouth splits completely stopped. I can't thank you enough and will never be without it.

I usually use this product after taking antibiotics but I've found I feel better using it all the time. I wish that drugstore.com would offer it in the larger size container.

I was a first timer with this and I took 2 in the morning and 2 at night for a total of 28 billion. I've tried a 35 billion product before and it had better effects, but this is cheap enough that taking 4 a day it's still a bargain to almost get the same effects as the higher billion products. And it does work. Makes me more regular than I ever thought about being. Thanks so much.

My dr. recommended this when I was peri-menopausal and I've taken it everyday for the last 8 years. The quality and contents are excellent and reliable. It's just a good daily practice. I hear my friends talk about various intestinal ills and I believe I don't have them because of my daily diet and exercise AND Pro-Biotics seems to be the difference. I've tried other brands, but this is the most reliable and effective.
