I stumbled across this product recently while browsing for a new Translucent loose powder to "set" my makeup with, and am very happy I did! This powder works just as well as the much more expensive brand that I've been using, and for a fraction of the cost! And, it does just what the label states...it's translucent, and makes your skin feel smooth. I love it so much that I just ordered several more!!

For years, I used Cornsilk. It was the ultimate oil control, but can't find it anymore! This powder (I use the translucent) is great and at a great price. I'll keep using it!

Not as translucent as my old corn powder brand which has been discontinued. Still have some of the old and I mix it with NYC.

Not orange or yellowy!! Can't beat the price. I spent a fortune trying every brand under 15 dollars and they were all too dark or clogged pores. A 22 dollar brand works well but that is 10 times the price.

I love the NYC pressed powder and when drugstore.com did not have my color, I decided to try the NYC loose powder. The color I got is orangey and unnatural looking. The makeup is messy and gets on my counter whenever I close the lid. It does not stay on for very long and leaves my face oily, which is the opposite effect a powder is supposed to have. The container does not say oil-free, so it could have oil in it and could be the reason for some new breakouts on my face. I'd say to stick to NYC's pressed powder and stay awak from this one.

I really like using this powder to set my concealer under my eyes and it never creases which is a perk. I used cornsilk in the past but since cornsilk became a hard to find product, I came across a forum that recommends using NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder, Translucent 741A, so I ordered it and I've been happy with it ever since.

i have been very sad to have no more cornsilk colorless powder. There is very little left on ebay and you cannot obtain the loose powder at all, only pressed (yuck!!!) i have tried a dozen powders and this one is the best! thank you! and cheap too!!!!!!!!!!! i am very very pleased and have not missed my cornsilk for the last 3 weeks (and that is after using it for 20 years exclusively)

Well they weren't kidding when they said to hold down the plastic cover while you peel the sticker off. I peeled it off and the lid popped off and powder went everywhere so that was fun. The product is great though. It feels great, looks natural, and does the same thing other powders do but for a way cheaper price!

This is a fine loose translucent powder. I'm 58 and I use a brush to apply it either over my liquid foundation or just by itself if I'm not wearing foundation. I think it does a fine job, especially as a touch-up if my face gets a bit oily in the afternoon. And the price is pretty terrific!
