while people may say it's good for it's cost
you can definitely get a good quad or dual palette for a little more money with less fallout that's less messy.
this is cheap, but the quality is just okay. not good, not particularly bad, but not that's great either.
it exploded in my makeup bag and stained everything
also, if it gets on your hand it smudges and goes on EVERYTHING you touch until you finally wipe it off properly.
i'd say...if you're really neat about makeup, then purchase if you ONLY want one color. but otherwise it's just okay.

i really like nyx eyeshadows i own a couple but i was missin a matte black eyeshadow. i saw it on here n decided to get it but.. it came all broken. by broken i meant all crumbling powders. tere was no usual airbag inside. not sure if customs removed it or drugstore did not pack it in (they usually do) but i had black eyeshadow powder all over my box, my other items, inside my items box. everywhere. i had black eyeshadow all over my hands n had to wash at least 5 times n wipe my other items clean. product came in less den half of usual n i had to mix alcohol into the powder n press it to get it back to pan. it was horrible black eyeshadow everywhere. jus disappointed. i noe its cheap n all but it costed me much more troubles. sigh =(

I use a stiff eyeliner brush and sterile eye drops to dampen the brush before picking up the pigment. This makes a world of difference in application & staying power. I work it deep into the base of my eyelashes to create the illusion of thicker lashes. If I want a dramatic look then I make tiny dashes to create a line just above my lashline and use a shader brush along with my crease eyeshadow color to blend it out. This is a MAC quality shadow w/o the high price tag!

I almost exclusively wear black on my eyes, and could never find a good matte black that wasn't overly expensive, or part of a palette..... I LOVE this eyeshadow! The pigment is just right, allows you to start light and build for an intense shadow. I use this as a liner daily with an angle brush, no water needed, and it stays put all day!!

With a bush and a little water, I use this as an eyeliner. I like the fact that I can soften the lines since it's a shadow. The color stays put.

I love this matte black. It lasts and it is buildable. I use it to darken my crease or to make smokey looks.

This is a deep intense black. The cake in the pan is looser than I would like. It delivers a great lined eye look. Probably best when used wet to prevent shadow from migrating on eyelid but I can't be sure, just a thought.

The pigmentation is very good, I like it. However, it kind of looks chalky, but it really worth it for this price.

I love the NYX single shadows so much that I literally trashed all of my other shadows, and now have nearly 50 of the NYX single shadows. They are highly pigmented, the color pay off is incredible! Like MAC, it's best to use a shadow primer first.
