If heavily applied it can be a bit sticky but it prevents peeling and blistering so worth a little sticky. I have to reapply aloe a couple of times an hour, and that's why I want some that can cool my sunburn without piling on the fragrance. Unfortunately, I didn't read the ingredients list. My bad... I thought the big letters on the front of the bottle that said "100% aloe gel" carried some sort of implication that this bottle would be filled, 100%, with aloe vera gel;in fact, it has a couple dozen ingredients. Description claims "Only necessary stabilizers and preservatives are added," yet it contains artificial coloring and a fragrance that, while not offensive, is far from necessary. I don't know what the criteria are for packaging claims, but this is probably the biggest crock I've ever seen. I think I got it for under[$], so I won't be too heartbroken if someone takes it off my hands for free, but if you're looking for a pure aloe product, this is definitely not it. A quick look at the ingredient list shows the second statement is also untrue as there are 12 ingredients other than the advertised "pure" aloe, including parabens, colors, and fragrance. I'm not sure it is actually 100 % ... if you read the label there are other 'stabilizers' and ingredients. Also the texture seems a little "thin." I just apply the aloe vera gel to my face after it has dried and I haven't gotten any new acne/blackheads since.
