I have been relaxing my hair since I was 16 years old, I am now 60. I had professionals do it for $100+, but this product works just as good for far less. I color my hair, so you MUST follow the directions. My hair is very curly (bride of Frankenstein curly) and this products works fine for me. I straighten in April when it starts getting humid and Ogilvie works for me all summer until my roots grow and the curliness returns. I live near the ocean & love the beach, my hair remains frizzles and silky smooth with this product. I only straighten once a year because it can and will damage your hair. Your hair should be in good condition before you straighten. Great product

I followed the instructions and the "suggested uses" from the pictures on the box. As soon as I applied the straightening lotion and started combing it though my hair, it started to fall out in hand fulls! I had to call my professional hair stylist who insisted that I come over to his salon. He then had to treat my hair to bring up the PH level and then had to cut all of my hair off because it was so damaged and broken off all over my head.
I have NO IDEA why this product is on the market!

I am very upset at myself that I tried this product!!

I followed all the instruction correctly, but it left my hair extremely weak and brittle now. My hair is now extra frizzy I canNOT run out the door with this hair! My hair started to melt while I was still applying the product on my hair.
I want to save some people from trying this product. For me, it was waste of money, time, and my entire hair!! I just wanna cry :(

Have used this product for years to control my wavy/frizzy hair. This product is convenient since it's for home use and also good because you control the amount of time it's on your hair (and therefore the level of straight you want). This product is good for my fine but unmanageable hair. It gives me the control over my style without having to go to a salon. Although the product smell has gotten better over the years, it's still a bit strong, but don't let that stop you from trying it.

This straightener works better than any salon straightening I have had done. I have very thick wavy hair, that has a tendency to be a little frizzy and bulky. This straightened my hair without taking away body and did not leave my hair flat and unnatural. My hair dries more quickly and has not lost it's shine. It was easy to do...I will use this again!

I put the straightening creme in my hair, then pulled the brush thru it ONE time. My hair kinked up horrible. Freaking out I washed it out and neutralized it. I only had this on my hair for less than five mins. When I washed my hair and dried it it was of a gummy bear consistency and came out in clumps anytime i touched or combed it. I used deep conditioning, protein treatments, hot oil, and cholesterol with no avail. The ends felt like straw and were incredibly frizzy. I went to the salon and they said there was nothing that could be done. I ended up having my shoulder length hair that took TWO YEARS to grow back to a pixie style AN INCH in the back because I now have bald patches!!!! I only wanted my ends a little straighter because I had healthy hair before this. [...] I will now be buying a wig until my hair grows a little!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!
